Is your computer so slow it's wasting your life away? Are you spending WAY too much time waiting around for programs to load? It's time to stop letting simple computer tasks run your life.
Computers are a part of people's everyday live's now, and that's not going to change. You need a reliable machine that is going to let you do what you need to do (facebook, chat, watch videos, listen to music, write papers, etc.) and not waste precious hours away.
Computers are powerful machines. But a problem with them sometimes is that they are SO powerful and take in SO much information that they can get bogged down in all that mess and clutter.
Luckily, there are several tips you can use to keep your computer running at peak performance and maybe even beyond.
3 Tips for a Blazing Fast Computer
1. Clean Up Your Disks - Your hard drive is essential to keeping a computer "industry speedy" if you'll allow me to coin a term. It's where all sorts of files are stored from basically anything you have ever opened up on your computer ever in life. Really - every program you open, every program you delete, every word document, every spreadsheet, every internet web page you've ever opened. All of those tasks and actions end up imprinting information onto your hard drive.
You've got to keep that baby squeaky clean. Fortunate for us, Windows comes with a built-in feature that allows us to do this quickly and easily - without a lot of headache. It's aptly named . . . Disk Cleanup.
This thing is pretty dang cool!
It deletes all but the most recent system restore point (these take up a lot of performance space). It empties your recycle bin (I'm always surprised at how much crap ends up in there). It compresses old files to save a bunch of space. It deletes unnecessary temporary internet files that just clog up your computer. It's helps keep your hard drive fairly clean for a free product.
2. Defrag Your Hard Drive - Now, because you're going to be cleaning up your hard drive, and deleting a bunch of files, you are going to end up with a fragmented hard drive. This simply means that there are a bunch of gaps in your hard drive that slows down the processing of files because they are spread out all over the place. You are going to need to run the disk defragmenter that comes along with windows. Just run a search for "disk defrag" and windows will do the rest. This is going to really increase your hard drive efficiency and the overall speed at which your computer performs.
3. Get Rid of Malware - Malware is malicious programming that infects your computer (a lot of times without you knowing) and wreaks havoc on your computer's available resources. It is essential to wipe your computer clean of these infestations as soon as possible. This one is probably going to cost you some bucks if you want a really good malware remover.
How Do I Find Time To Get All This Done?
Keeping your computer running at the blazing speeds CAN be a pretty time consuming process. And these are just 3 tips . . . there are TONS more things you can do to get your computer moving at unbelievable speeds online and off. You can do all this work by yourself, and keep your computer healthy or you can bite the bullet and purchase some affordable software to do all the work for you! Whatever you choose, I'm sure you will be happy with the results.
