Protecting your home and family should be on the top of your things to do list. Your home should be considered a safe haven. A place to do as you want when you want. A place where you have full control and who is welcome or not. When you are away, do you know who is coming or going inside your home? Are they honest people or do they violate your privacy and personal space? Is your home a target for the next home invasion? I have seen some pretty scary, weird, and disturbing things in my time as a Security Professional. Things that the general public doesn't want to know and shouldn't have to experience. Protecting your safe haven can be as easy as installing a home monitoring system and a CCTV system. These two technologies work together to create a strog fortress in peace of mind and true protection for your family.
Surveillance cameras were invented by an engineer named Walter Burch and first installed by Siemens in 1942 at a rocket launch site in Germany. They made their first debue in the United States in 1962. The town of Olean in New York installed them in the streets of the business district to prevent crime. Surveillance or CCTV systems are now used for various applications such as, Crime prevention, loss prevention, risk management, traffic monitoring, baby monitoring, and protection of property. They can be used for just about anything you can think of in almost any location.
Burglar alarm systems or intrusion alarms have been around for centuries. The first alarm system ever invented is said to be invented by an English man called Tildesley in the mid 19th century. His alarm system was made up of a series of bells attached to a door. When the door was opened obviously the bells would jingle notifying that ther was a visitor or intruder present. Simple right, almost silly simple. I'd like to believe that humans were smarter than that and invented or used that system earlier than the 19th century, but this was what was recorded. Alarm systems today have become way more advanced and are still just as easy to install than bells on string. Well almost as easy.
As a person with an extensive Security background, I believe every home should have at least a Burglar alarm system. For added protection and sureity that your violators will be caught and prosecuted, you can install a CCTV or surveillance system. Intruders are less likely to break in if they know you have an active alarm, and stupid to do so if they see CCTV equipment. I have both in my house and could not imagine not having either of them. A great suggestion also is to put up signs warning them of the equipment on site. This serves as an excellent deterant. Anyone who enters your dwelling illegally or without permission knowing you have protection systems deserves to go to jail and back to school.
Residential CCTV systems are normally basic and easy to install. They pretty much are plug and play these days. Burglar alarm systems can be easy to install as well. They offer wireless alarm systems that have almost no set-up time involved. If you are easily confused or intimidated by technology I recommend consulting with a professional Security Installer or technician. An installer or technician can give you added peace of mind knowing the equipment will be placed in the correct areas making weak points strong and safe. Technicians use advanced equipment, offer warranties, and in most cases give you a monthly plan to pay off the systems.
So hurry and install your systems professionally or by yourself. What do you have to lose? What's worth protecting and not? Is my family worth the added protection? Those are questions only you can answer, what have I got to lose?.........Everything!
