Items To Meet Your Needs
From when new technology was the new record player that just came out, or the Johnson's telling you about their new "black and white" television. Now a days that same guy down the street is telling you about him getting the new Iphone 5 or the new Sony 3d TV he just pre-ordered. Things are getting pretty out of hand but there are some devices that don't go above and beyond. These are technologies for the average man. Maybe tecnologies was not the best word but you know what I mean.
Your Cell Phone: The base of everyday social living the cell phone. If you are the one of 73 million out of 365 million people who don't own this device, you might need to rethink your situation. This device helps through everyday life, I personally couldn't go back to the days when I had to call everyone on my house phone. It's pretty hard to tell a woman I can't call when IM on my way to the restaurant because ill be too far away from my house to call you. Don't get me wrong there are some phones that are quite over priced and full of features only the Techies can truly appreciate, but on the other hand there are some that can be fit into your budget and can sit at a table with the Iphone 4s and HTC Evo's. The Droid Incredible 2 from Verizon is one of them. Its not the most feature packed phone out there but it get the job done with a 8 mega pixel camera [that's pretty good for a phone :).] It's also boasting an Android OS, which in laymen terms access to thousands of apps that do everything from finding food to shooting cute little birds into buildings.
Your Car: News about cars are ever changing but one thing that will not change for some time is something that all cars have. Four wheels and a engine (Electric or not). In a society obsessed with weight loss and going green the car has had to change to meet this new breed of people, but the two things I just mentioned will not change. So when going to go look for a new car keep that in mind. Hybrids are all the rage but you don't have to pay an arm and a leg to save an arm and a leg. There are two cars I would personally recommend for the average green consumer. The Toyota Prius and the Ford Fusion Hybrid. The Prius is the only Hybrid I know of that can get up to 50 mpg, the Fusion gets about 35-40mpg, which in my opinion is pretty good for both these cars being under 30,000.
I will be continuning this article when i find more things to talk about.
Thanks for the article about one of my favorite subjects. I call my Prius, "My Video Game on Wheels". On my 2007 Prius we averaged about 52mpg. It just got totaled and we are replacing it with a 2006. Have been driving a 2011 rental Prius and average about 58 mpg... See what did I tell you? Definitely a video game, constantly checking my score :-) Sherry M
