The Toblino 2 leather ipad case is made of quality napa leather. This is the leather that is used in luxury cars' interior. It is soft and durable full grain leather. The case wraps completlely around the Ipad in a folio design. This leather ipad case creates a beautiful presentation for you Ipad and would be appropriate in the board room or any office meeting.

This case protects not only the front and back of the Ipad, but also the sides and corners. It attaches to the Ipad by way of tabs on the corners and 2 center clips. The clips and tabs hold the Ipad firmly. The Ipad will not shake out or fall out due to a drop.

When the hinge side tabs are released the case can fold in a "z" fashion and use the interior of the front of the case for a stand. The front cover has two indentations for 2 positive positions from which the Ipad can firmly stand. Unfortunatly, a typing angle is not provided in the stand. To type one has to let the Ipad lay loosely on top of the "z" case. This produces a bouncy typing unless you have a light touch on the keyboard.

Unlike many of the "z'" design cases, the Toblino 2 leather ipad case is made from a single piece of leather. This allows for the case to be extremely slim, which keeps fashion with the sleek design of the Ipad itself. Most "z" designs add a second piece of material in the middle of the back of the piece that covers the ipad. This second piece wraps from the middle of the back to the front of the Ipad. Thus this case is 1/3 less thick of a case made of similar material but in the normal "z" deslgn.

Thr Toblino 2 leather Ipad case incorporates the use of the sleep/ awake mode that the Smart Cover uses. It has embedded magnets built into the leather ipad case, so on opening or closing the case the ipad awakes or sleeps.

One would expect that a high quality leather ipad case like the Toblino 2 would cost a lot. However, it is currently under $40 on Amazon. This is considerly cheaper than the SRP of $70 for the leather Smart Cover.

In my opinion the Toblino 2 is an excellent case. It beats the Smart Cover at its own game in quality, elegence, price and protection while maintaining a slim design. The only disappointment is the lack of the typing angle,which the Smart Cover does have.
