Break Up Quotes Are An Easy Way to Start Helping Some Sad Person

Is some friend of yours or a person you know passing trough some trouble with her/his relationship so you want to help him? You want to talk to her/him, but you know that trying to do this could turn into a very complicated issue. You know that people involved into a recent breakup is hard to be helped. Have you tried to talk to somebody who is down, sad, devastated and doesn’t want to hear any advice from anybody? Here is a very simple, effortless method to break the ice and to get his/her attention.

Think of it: if you were the troubled person, you’d be only thinking about your problem, you didn’t want to be advised by anyone, any mention of the one you lost or you were dumped by could cause so much pain that it would be almost impossible to keep from crying, and you didn’t want anybody to see you in such situation. You need help, but you wouldn’t accept that help from your friends. In that situation you only want to be alone. If you continue with this attitude, even the most devoted friends will give up and then you’ll be really alone, without anyone trying to help you.

Here is an easy way to break the ice and start communicating with them: Do you know some quote or proverb which says something useful for your friend to read? Or maybe you know a song whose lyrics could give them a cheering or comforting message. It should be a valuable and inspiring message which says in few words something useful to your friend.

Now, print it in a short size, with tiny words, to be found and read just by them, and stick it in their screen, desk, keyboard, mirror, maybe the windshield of her/his car, hide it under their calculator… any place where he/she founds it when coming to that place. He/she could know that you put it there or maybe it could be an anonymous message. Try to find something that touches their heart. The more inspiring the words in that message the more it will help that person to start forgetting her/his sorrows. Make them feel well, supported, or make them think about something that has not passed through their mind.

Someday one person helped me this way, when I was getting through a very harsh situation with my girlfriend. I was devastated and didn’t want any help from anybody, though I needed it desperately. Then one morning, when sitting at my desk, I discovered that someone stuck in a corner of my screen a little piece of paper with a Peanuts cartoon where Charlie Brown explains to Sally his procedure for maintaining himself sad. The key phrase in that cartoon was: “The worst thing you can do is straighten up and hold your head because then you’ll start to feel better”.

Then I understood that those words were not written to make someone laugh, but they are a complete advice on how to start feeling better, made up of the contrary concept it is intended to give. The procedure to start feeling better was so simple that I could start applying it to myself after thinking deeply about my situation and after the tears I let flow. I was overwhelmed. It helped me so very much. Since that moment on I had that piece of paper with me and I proposed myself to try feeling better. That meant the starting point of my recovery process.

This is the magic in those wise words that helped me and can help anybody who receives the correct message. Sometimes they could reinforce some correct belief, sometimes they help to uplift the agony of a relationship breakdown, sometimes they make us laugh because they put into funny words what we are feeling at that moment. And maybe sometimes just express what we are feeling and help us to see our problem from a different and more realistic point of view.

So, if you want to help somebody to cope with their problem, just write some phrase, saying or quote, or the lyrics of a song, by your own hand, or print it, maybe you’d like to add a personal message with your name, and stick it in some place where the person you want to help would find it along the day, while being alone if it is possible. You won’t believe the results!

The same way someone helped me, now I want to pay it forward to other persons. I’d like to give this idea to others for helping any person suffering from this kind of trouble.
