Can You Be Friends With Your Ex Girlfriend? 3 Reasons Why It Never Works

Wondering if you can be friends with your ex girlfriend?  Many people try to reconcile and be friends after a breakup, and sometimes it works.  Sometimes it doesn't.  Can you really be friends after breaking up?

In a word: no.

You cannot be friends with your ex girlfriend.  There are too many old memories, feelings, and emotional attachments between you.  Whenever you are with her, especially if she takes interest in another guy, you are going to be that much more jealous.

It is just human nature.  We cannot be friends with an ex except in extremely rare cases where the feelings have mutually faded. 

So the next question is: how can you get her interested in you romantically again?

In reality, getting her to be interested in you again isn't as hard as you might think.  In fact, you're at an advantage now that you're broken up, because you no longer have the pressure on you to be who she wants you to be.  You can be YOU - and that's what will be more attractive to her.

Don't worry yourself over whether or not she's with someone else.  If you make yourself attractive enough, she will leave another guy for you.

How do you make yourself attractive?  Simply by:

1. Figuring out what you really want in life.

This means things like your career, your hobbies, your passions.  Follow them.  Be independent.  Do what you want, not what anyone else wants of you. 

You must be independent and single-mindedly go after everything in life you truly desire.  In doing so, you will automatically become happier, which will make you more attractive.

2. Stop caring what she thinks.

You don't need your girlfriend's opinion of you to matter at all.  If she doesn't like you, someone else will.  When you fully internalize the reality that you are attractive to all kinds of girls, no matter what, you will start to believe it.

And that mindset is powerful.  Get started by repeating affirmations throughout the day.  Say, "I am attractive and worthy."  As well, you can say, "I go after what I want."  Or, "I am strong in myself."

Simple affirmations have extreme power.  So don't put any weight on what your ex-girlfriend thinks of you; your opinion is all that matters.  This is very important when you want to get her back

3. Get active.

Physical activity not only boosts serotonin and other feel-good chemicals in the brain, but it also makes you look better.  Get 30-60 minutes of physical activity per day.  For an extra boost, start adding some weights to your training regime.

Eat healthy as well.  Your diet plays a huge part in how good you look.  In addition, certain foods will boost testosterone levels, which will make you more attractive to your ex girlfriend as well.
