No matter who initiated a breakup, both partners can end up feeling hurt, lonely, and regretful in the aftermath. Chances are, if you're in that position, you want to get back with your ex boyfriend so things can be the way they used to be. If that's the case, there are a number of things you absolutely need to remember:

Follow these tips:

1) Breakups are not final.

Even if your relationship ended because of trust issues, cheating, or a big, blow-out argument, you can still get back with your ex boyfriend.

2) It doesn't matter who initiated the breakup.

No matter whether the split was your idea or his, you can still take steps to bring you and your ex back together again, as long as you go about it the right way.

3) Most couples stay broken up because one partner makes one of several common breakup mistakes.

These include trying to guilt their ex into dating them again, attempting to contact their ex too soon after a breakup, or continually bringing up the breakup long after the fact. Nine times out of ten, it isn't a lack of action that causes couples to stay apart-- it's the mistakes they make in the belief that they're “helping” to fix their relationship.

4) It's easy to ruin trying to get back with your ex boyfriend simply by trying too hard.

Many women hang their sense of self-worth on their relationships, and feel that a breakup somehow detracts from their value as a person.

As a result, they end up working double time to turn themselves into a completely different person in order to attract their ex boyfriend, forgetting that they were the woman their ex fell for in the first place.

5) Happiness and confidence are more attractive than anything else.

It's a good idea to make small changes to yourself and your lifestyle after a breakup, but these should be things you want to do, not things you think your ex would want you to do. It's always easier to keep up beneficial changes that you decide on than it is ones you make for other people.

6) Forgiveness is another big factor.

The hurt feelings you have from your breakup will stick with you for awhile, but it's important to try to let them go. You can't be happy, even if you get back with your ex-boyfriend, if you're still holding on to so many negative emotions.

7) Stay cheerful and upbeat around your ex.

If you let him know how much the breakup hurt you, it can end up casting a pall over your reconciliation.

Wanting to get back with your ex boyfriend isn't unusual, even if you decided to initiate the split to begin with. As long as you can avoid the most common mistakes people make when they're trying to attract their exes back to them, you'll have no problem rekindling a happy, satisfying relationship with your former lover.

Hopefully, these will help you to get back with your ex boyfriend, but to ensure your success to get him back, you need an ex recovery system.
