Before you even consider breaking the no contact rule, you need to know that there are rules to make sure that you are ready to do so. A lot of people think that they're ready to initiate contact again with their ex when the truth is they're not.
If any of these don't apply to you or you don't the answer, you're not ready to break no contact. Be honest, because the only one you'll end up hurting is you!
1. You have gotten rid of neediness and desperation!

2. You have moved on from the breakup and have healed!
Have you moved on from the breakup and are no longer bitter? You do not want any lingering negative feelings that the breakup has caused. You should be at a good place now emotionally.
You should also realize that your old relationship with your ex is dead. You can not get that old relationship back nor do you want to. You have to start off fresh and build a new relationship with your ex. Picking up where you two left off will only lead to breaking up again.
3. Have you removed what separated you two?
A lot of people just don't even think about this or neglect to. You need to find out what caused the breakup to begin with and why your ex decided that you are were not right for him or her.
Never break no contact without removing what killed the relationship to begin with. You're just wasting your time.
4. Do you know what happens after the no contact rule?
So many people make this mistake, and they make first contact without even knowing what to do or say after the no contact rule. If you do not know, you neglected one of the most important rules of no contact, and that's to have a proven and complete strategy to get an ex back.
Do you even know what to say? Make no mistake. Not just anything will do. You have to know what to say in that first initial message that will most likely get your ex to respond back.
If you have not taken care of any of the above, you're not ready when it comes to breaking the no contact rule. Chances are you've gotten lousy information about no contact after breakup or neglected to get good information about the subject.
Breaking the no contact rule should never be done if you don't even know what to do or say after the no contact rule. That should be common sense. Being unprepared is the recipe for failure in anything in life!
