Barbaque Smoking Techniques

There are some good barbaque techniques and some bad ones. Lets cover them all so we get the right ones so we can cook our best food of all. You can be a good cook but if you want to be a great chef than these tricks are for you.

There are so many different techniques to cooking food on the BBQ but the one I love best has to be smoking. To do this process we want to cook the meat at a low temperature and for a long period of time. With that said, you want to use a nice wood to smoke the meat and there are various types. Basically just think of a tree and use the wood from it to smoke your meat. Pretty sure you can not go wrong with this process as any wood smoke combined with meat sounds good to me but there are certain types that people do use like oak and hickory. I could go on but you will find the one you like after trying a few out. You can also smoke fish or any other kind of protein that you like

So if your interested in smoking meat like me your gonna need a smoker. I would not rely on your regular BBQ for smoking but you probably could do it. Plus your gonna need the wood flavor of your choice. Spices are a must and that is also a personal choice but you can certainly find many rubs to use at your fingertips.

There are a few different types of smokers that you could use. There is a gas smoker and in my opinion are the best in that they produce a lot of clean heat letting the flavor of the wood in and it is much easier to control the heat.Keep the heat between 225 degrees and 250 and depending on what your cooking in the smoker for times it will turn out awesome.You do not want too much heat or you will just ruin your meat. Pardon the rhyme.

So if you want to cook with a propane barbaque that is fine but if you want to smoke your meat you should for sure think about using a smoker. What is barbaque food ? well in my opinion it is definitely the best way to cook possible. Obviously you agree or you would not be reading this right now.
