Why You Should Buy Copper Bottom Cookware Sets

Most Copper Bottom cookware sets are manufactured from stainless steel, tin or aluminum with a copper core as the food should not come in contact with the copper which tends to give the food a metallic taste.

A good set of pots and pans would consist of three pots of different sizes allowing for a sauté pan , a saucepan , and a stock pot and a large frying pan. This would be called a 7 - piece set as the pots would have lids. This should be the minimum size of your set but it wouldn’t hurt to have a larger set if money permits.

As Gifts

These Copper bottom cookware sets will make an ideal wedding present for a young couple just starting out in married life and would last for many years.

When you are buying your cookware it can be very expensive by purchasing individual pieces and is also very hard to find matching pieces. By buying your cookware as a set can not only save you money but will give you an attractive set of cookware.

Size of Set

When you buy a set of pots and pans it usually consists of a minimum of a sauté pan, a saucepan, a skillet and a stockpot complete with fitted lids. This set will most probably be more affordable than if purchased separately.

Most of the cookware sets available on the market today come in a number of sizes starting at the minimum that you should purchase of 7-pieces, but are available in a 10 - piece, 12 - piece up to about a 22 - piece set which is probably to large for the normal household.

Design

Your cookware sets are designed and manufactured so that you are able to store them very easily together in a cabinet and are very simple and uniform in their design. The better sets are designed to be stacked inside each other so reducing room needed for storage and the lids fit the pots as well as frying pans which is very convenient

Manufacture

When you are looking for a cookware set choose one that is a combination of stainless steel with an aluminum and copper core as these sets last longer and are easier to maintain and clean also they are usually dishwasher safe. The aluminum and copper core and base distributes the heat evenly giving better cooking.

Make sure you buy a copper bottom cookware set that has sturdy easy grip handles that are heat resistant allowing you to be able to lift heavy casseroles and stews. Also be sure that the lids fit correctly and they have a vent to allow the steam to escape if necessary.
