When you hear about life poetry, What comes to your mind? Maybe your life and what you go through, or other peoples lives, or maybe a pet or insects life. Life poetry usually consist of what a person is feeling much like a song. Some life poetry may reflect on the world like situations that some people go through all together. When I write life poems I usually express my feelings. Something that is important to me so my poem would be packed with meaning. When I read other poets life poems I am usually inspired and can connect to their feelings in a way. Even though I have never actually been through their situation.

It's a beautiful type of poetry and many all across the world write these type of poems. As a matter of fact almost every poem out today relates to being life poetry somehow. The purpose of life poems is to express, inspire, share your story whether it be fiction or non-fictional. So many thoughts go through our minds everyday it becomes a beautiful art when you can turn those thoughts into poetry or stories.

Even if you are not a writer or a poet and you never written a poem before. It would be easy to write about a particular feeling that you are feeling or a thought. You might even already have some life poems stashed away without even knowing it. In your journal or diary you may find your personal life poem. Many of us are poets and we don't even know it.

There are famous poets who have life poems such as Emily Dickson, John Adams, Langston Hughes etc. And when you read their poetry you get a sense of were they're coming from. As a poem writer myself I enjoy writing life poems. It gives me a relief feeling like letting go of all my thoughts and feelings with just my pen and paper. I personally hope any type of poetry is never forgotten. The world is changing so fast I often wonder will poetry fade away like get lost somehow.

Nah, that will never happen (I certainly hope not). I hope many generations to come keep writing poetry, sharing poetry so others get to enjoy reading them. With so many resources on the internet today filled with life poetry and quotes there is barely a chance for these poems to vanish. Readers just have to know where to look and find the poetry, And poets just have to know how to get their work in the public eye.
