I love poems, the reason to that is because it is an scape from all the bad news. I feel the same about comedy. Poetry brings out a particular sensitivity in all who read it, sensitivity that let us all be in touch with our soul. I have being way to serious lately, so today I toke a break from the stiffness of business.
Rhymes
I know a melody giant and estrange that resounds in the wake of dawn and the darkness of the night, and this page is the delicate movement of that melody that melts in the shadow's air. I would love to write about the man who tames the beast, or the angel who saves the world, I would use words from heaven and God's letters.
But is fruitless as I am at a loss for words... speechless. I can't never find the meaning of words and can't never capture the language to tell you a story. The night goes away the dreams stay and I hope to one day find the words to end my dismay.
The Invisible air atoms around us palpitate and become large, heaven melts in gold rays, and earth agitates. I hear wave sounds of harmony and kisses. My eyelids close What is happening? Tell me! ..is love that goes by.
Do you know if one day your lips burn the invisible atmosphere, that just as our souls can speak though our eyes, it also can kiss with one look. What is poetry? you ask while looking into my eyes. To what I responded. And you ask? Poetry... is you.
I hope none of you find these cheese, we all need to hear some loving words at times. I think that life is stressing enough and there are things I can do to bring a smile or a thought of love to everyone. The poetry you have just experienced are an English version a famous writer from Spain.
Gustavo Adolfo Becquer, he was born in Sevilla in 1836 and died in Madrid in 1870. He wrote Rhymes, short stories, and pieces about traditions and life. Today I thought I share some of his work to you and maybe open up your hearts to a great day.
His writing can sometimes be a bit obscure, for instance he wrote once, " If dying is like sleeping I want to die in peace during the night without worrying that you might come and become a nightmare". I have just one more thing to say, love yourselves and your partners bring a smile on someones face today and every day you can.
I thought the message was beautiful even before I realised it was a translation. Perhaps that makes you doubly clever to have shared so wonderfully. Certainly found it uplifting. Thank you.
Thanks so much Miss Bradford. Have a wonderful weekend.
Wonderful writer my dear. Rimas y leyendas is almost a required read. Thanks
ohhh you know it... that makes me happy. Thanks Mister Cook.
Thanks Jesse and good reminder about love and bringing a smile to others...
Thanks! Rhymes. Interesting. But? Hmm. Doesn't rhyme. Guess it rhymed in Spain:-) Poetry loses a lot in translation, doesn't it? Thanks for a peek at your lighter side. blessings, Cynthia
Yes you are wright, they are just a applied translation from Spanish in English and the words in English just don't rhyme, but the meaning is there. :) Blessings to you as well, and Thanks for reading me. :)
By the way, the photo is quite amazing. Is it for real?
I love the article, and i don't think you know yourself how good you are, keep at it you will be great. I was told to write poetry as I love to read it, yet I have no ability what so ever, and others can sit and turn it out like no ones business, I think though you could do it easily.
