My morning started off terrible hearing about the Connecticut school shooting, I couldn't believe my ears, at least 28 people, also 20 innocent children, had died, shoot and killed, it happen around 9:40 a.m.
There was only one shooter , a law-enforcement agent reported a 20-year-old walked into the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., around 9:40 a.m., brandishing a .223 caliber high-powered assault rifle , two semi-automatic handguns, a Glock and a Sig Sauer. He was also wearing a bulletproof vest.
School violence is truly getting out of hand. How can we protect are kids? Should we train are children how to shoot and send them to school with guns and bullets? Should parents, pay an extra fee to hire private security(navy seals) to patrol the school?
I was in a discussion the other day, It was about home schooling, My wife wanted to do home school for are daughter when she become old enough to go to school. I want her to go to school so she can meet friends, she's the only child, and plus me and the wife need a break.
After this shooting I'm having second thoughts about sending my princess to school. I would be worried , every second, every hour, and every minute of the day, hack I might just sit in the parking lot until school end.
Which is better home school or public school?
Home schooling
- My wife like the thought of picking the curriculum, Which is good, because if my Daughter learn different, She will be different with different ideas that in my opinion is the way to help build the world.
- Another good point ,the student will have all the teacher attention. In a public school it's up to 20 students a teacher, which that means some students might get left out.
Public School
- A good quality point about public school is the diverse social education as the student learn in a team settings, that's excellent for a child's social skills ,which is a plus .
- The school chooses the curriculum, but at the same time there are extra-curricular activity, and extra learning, When I went to school, I like the sports, debate teams, and swimming.
I would like to agree with my wife, but I think it's best if my daughter is sociable and learn how to interact with other children. I won't keep my child locked in the house, because of a lunatic with a gun. School was fun when I was a little kid, Now it's just dangerous, now a days you have to send your children to school with bullet proof vests.
I just wanted to put in my 2 cents please feel free to reply. Not only do I feel this way but many others also. You can find this information online in many places just search it. I believe there was no "SandyHook" shooting. I believe it was made up in an attempt to make people fear guns. There is several ways my beliefs are prove. #1 many of the " victims" shown on the news that were killed the children anyway were seen several months later at a presidential speech standing in the background. #2 there is still people contesting the video that was shown on the news and how the time of day does not match the time the video depicts. Those are the major arguments but you can judge for yourself by searching sandy hook conspiracy on google. Just saying.
There are both pros and cons to home schooling. First of all you have to be able to teach all of the subjects she would be taking in school. Also, you would lose the child's social interactions with other students--which can be both good and bad, depending on the child. Lastly, you can't protect her from everything in the world, as much as we'd like to, the child has to be able to spread their wings at some point.
