It seems that the more I think about it, I really don't watch the news too much these days. I guess what I find most negative or a turn-off is the fact that almost every story is about a crime or criminals. I know they try to integrate the news with positive, happy stories but it just doesn't seem to take the edge off of all the horrible stories we see or hear if we watch the television or even look on the internet. This will also define criminal activity as the news interprets it.
It seems, too, that people cannot help themselves for the most part and have to watch or read about it. Maybe it makes them grateful that it didn't happen to them or it's the "Wow, it was so horrible, but I just couldn't look away" syndrome. For instance, when there is an auto accident and it is not even on the road or highway we are driving on, how come traffic comes to an almost complete standstill?! Rubberneckers just cannot help but slow down and have to try to see what happened or if anyone is in the wreckage.
The other type of problem is that there are terrorists everywhere infiltrating all countries. They are suicide bombing and creating all kinds of trouble for the innocent people who just want to go about their day normally. This is what makes me want to work from home. I wouldn't have to go to an office every day and risk being carjacked, robbed, kidnapped, ripped off, have my purse stolen or a number of things. So, I definitely believe working from home through Wealthy Affiliate's teachings is the answer to this problem.
I recall back on 9/11 when I worked from home then doing medical transcription. I had to take my boys to school and my daughter to the mall to get her cellphone as she was leaving for college a few days later. We turned on the television and saw planes crashing into buildings and it seemed like a horrible movie. Our eyes were glued to the screen and it was not enjoyable, but we couldn't believe it and were in shock. So, we took off just to get out of the house and went to the mall (about 40 mins. from our home). There was NO ONE there and a majority of the stores were closed too. We didn't realize that the mall was a large entity and if it were full of people, then it could be a target as well. We didn't think like that, but there are plenty of people who do.
So, hopefully we can all be careful and create positive vibes as well as a good atmosphere or aura to ward off the negative energy these type of people present with. I just think society has changed so much in the last 20 years and we need to really be aware as well as try to work from home. That may just solve some of this risk.
