Dont Protect Yourself - You May Get Sued!

By now you have probably heard about the ridiculous verdict that was delivered when a pharmacist who killed an armed robber, who was shoting at him inside his pharmacy, had to go to trial for murder, and was found guilty of 1st degree murder.

That in itself is a major travesty of injustice, to send someone who has every right in the world to protect themselves, their property, and the lives of others, to prison for 1st degree murder. He should never even had to see the inside of a courtroom, unless it was to testify against the robber that got away during the robbery.

It was two teenage boys who ran into his pharmacy with guns, and started shooting, and shouting that they wanted money and drugs. He was able to kill one of them, 16 year old Antwun Parker. He was found guilty because he emptied his gun on the boy, because he was trying to get up after being shot the first time.

I have to admit, I would have emptied my gun on him too. I would not want him getting up and getting off a shot that may kill me or someone else.

Well, as if the guilty verdict isn't bad enough, now Antwun's mother, Cleta Jennings, has found a way to profit from her criminal sons death. She is filing a law suit, claiming wrongful death. She is wanting money for damages and accusing Jerome Ersland of negligence.

Talk about taking a horrendous situation, and making it even worse. This is so totally ridiculous, it is unreal. How could you possibly sue someone for defending themselves, much less send them to court to stand trial for murder. This is ludicrous.

When and where does this sort of garbage stop. Why do we as American citizens keep on letting ourselves get pushed first one way, and then another.

You really don't want to get me started on what I think about our dear government, and what a mess that things are currently in, and it appears that it will be a mess for a while.

But seriously, since when is it right to send an innocent person to prison for defending themselves. He should never, never have had to stand any trial to prove his innocence.

And now, to even begin to think that the criminals mother wants to profit from her criminal son getting killed while committing a crime.

What is criminal, is the fact that this man can be sentenced to prison for life, for trying to protect his life and the lives of others, and now he also stands the chance of being sued for killing a criminal.
