Jerry Sandusky Facing New Charges: Shocking Allegations Are Coming From Family Now

Penn State University's former Assistant Coach Jerry Sandusky remains out of jail although he is facing forty charges related to abuse allegations involving eight young boys. Officials with Children and Youth Services have announced that they are investigation two new charges against him, indicating that those new charges are likely to involve someone who is currently under the age of eighteen. Under the law, investigations involving victims over eighteen are handled by the police. According to sources close to the case, those new charges were reported less than two months ago.

Sandusky's attorney, Joe Amendola has expressed his concern that any new charges filed on Sandusky will result in jail time until a trial is scheduled. Currently, he is out on a $100,000 unsecured bail.

It has been learned that at least one of the new charges has been filed by Sandusky's daughter in law, alleging that Sandusky has molested his grandson. The daughter in law is married to Sandusky's adopted son, Matt. That son is one of Sandusky's supporters, bringing his children to visit even after the November 8th arrest. The daughter in law went to court to block Sandusky from having any type of unsupervised time with the grandchildren until the case is resolved. That court order was granted: Sandusky must be supervised if the children are present and they are not allowed to remain in his home for overnight visits.

Sandusky is still maintaining his innocence of any wrong doing, saying that he had merely horsed around with the boys and that nothing wrong had ever happened. A judge has delayed a scheduled preliminary hearing, moving the date back to middle December to make time to figure out a number of logistical needs. In light of the new charges that have been filed, it is possible that the judge may require a hearing to revoke or amend Sandusky's bail. However, that change will have to be made before the hearing is held.

Sandusky and the charity, Second Mile are also facing a number of civil suits in addition to the criminal trial. At least one of his former victims is seeking to stop the Second Mile from disbanding. The attorney for that victim has also said that there is nearly a dozen others who are ready to step forward and file similar civil claims against the Foundation that was started with Sandusky's assistance. That charity is also facing an investigation that they were negligent in allowing Sandusky to have continued contact with the boys after abuse allegations were made as long as a decade ago.

You have got to be kidding, if he's guilty I hope they lock him up!

After every thing I have read in regard to this case, there is no way that he cannot be. He needs to be buried beneath the jail.

This was the first I read about it but then I don't watch TV and I am always so busy that I rarely keep up on current events but I have to say that's just sick. I mean his own grandson...The idea of that makes my skin crawl. I agree with you about burying him under the jail.
