As years have gone the whole world have witnessed increased numbers of cross cultural marriages, from all kind of people throughout the world they are looking for their loved ones in all corners of the world

As different cultures decide to marry there so many things to consider and to put in place before you make that big decision of marrying form different culuture.I would love to talk more about marrying an African woman, we have seen many people coming to Africa and especially Kenya to look for brides.

A Kenyan woman is a woman truly raised up in the traditional way and most of Kenyans have to follow their tradition when getting married for those thinking of marrying a Kenyan woman this are things to consider.

1. Her culture: kenya is lucky to have more than 20tribes and thus when looking for a Kenyan bride consider where she comes from and the culture of the that community, for instance in kikuyu culture a traditional wedding has to be conducted before the church or attoneygeneral wedding is done, there is the paying of the dowry and the fact that if her elder sisters are not married they should be asked for permission before the wedding continues.

2. The religion: the most common practiced religion in Kenya is catholic and protestan, there is also Hinduism and muslim, which ever religion you practice and whichever she does decide on the one that will be appropriate for both of you, most parents are not comfortable with their children changing their religion but the decision is between the two of you.

3.The extended family: Kenya is known for its close knit families, the extended families are part of you know so when choosing your bride consider the type of extended family she has if they are the close knit that everything has to be consulted to the extended family before the decision is made.

4. child rearing and the numbers of children to bear: this might be very person but it’s very important to discuss with your spouse about the number of children your are comfortable with, a Kenyan lady is expected to give birth to six or more kids just like our parents and grandparents did, but life has changed, the other thing to consider is the discipline to give to your kids, here in Kenya kids are disciplined through canning while in most western countries it’s not allowed.

5.divorce or separation: in most or all of Kenyan culture divorce is prohibited or unheard of, but in most western countries it’s not a big deal, a Kenyan woman holds her marriage no matter and thus as you get into that union just know its forever as the vows you took.

6. personality: you may find a very different personality in a Kenyan woman from the one most of the western people are used to ,from her generosity and friendliness to her hard working and respect and the discipline ,this is because an Kenyan lady is brought up in a very strict environment where even women are not allowed to talk in front of men, whatever the case is teach her the way would love her to be.

I don’t know if this applies to all African women but when you get one you have gotten a queen.
