Carnival Legend Itinerary Review

Here is our take on the Carnival Legend itinerary. We absolutely love the port of Tampa. We have both flown and drove to this amazing port for a Carnival cruise. I you elect to drive the parking was plentiful and easy to get to. The cost for seven day parking at the time of our cruise was $55. When we flew down our flight was early and the shuttle got us there at 9:00 am. There is plenty to do at this port to kill some time before your cruise. There is a amazing aquarium and tons of top of the line shopping as well as restaurants.

We took the 7 Night Exotic Western Caribbean Carnival Legend itinerary. Tampa, Fl Dock Fun Day At Sea Fun At Sea Cozumel, Mexico Dock Belize Tender Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan Dock Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands Tender Fun Day At Sea Fun At Sea

We always enjoy the first day at sea by learning our way around the ship and discovering all of its amenities. This ship is simply amazing. The vessels Design is quite stylish and similar to the Carnival Pride. The ship is loaded with elegant paintings along with a beautifully designed atrium. The Legend is not the largest we have sailed on but it never appeared to be congested aboard the sold out vessel. There were an abundance of locations to essentially be alone to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Our first stop was in the amazing city of Cozumel. It was our third time visiting the Island. My wife and I found a $10 cab ride to Chankanaab National Park. This park has everything. There is tons of shopping and a huge selection of shore tours at this stop. The people are extremely friendly but can be a little pushy when attempting to make a sale.

Our next stop was Belize where we took a city tour and a trip to the Baboon sanctuary. The city tour was just the lady on the bus pointing out various landmarks and government buildings. The Baboon sanctuary tour begins with a short hike into the jungle. When we find the monkeys they know it is feeding time and you can hand feed them. Belize is an interesting city and not to touristy. There is no dock at Belize so you have a 10 minute tender ride to the city.

Next up was Roatan Honduras. When you initially arrive at port here it appears somewhat rough and third world. We booked the Gumbalimba Park zip lines and Tabyana beach break tour. Regrettably this tour seems to unavailable currently through Carnival, but if you get the chance check out the beaches in Honduras as they are amazing. There is some shopping right at the pier, but not much to do here unless you book a tour.

Our final stop was Grand Cayman. There is also no dock at this stop, but the boats that go to shore are plentiful and fast. Tons of shopping available at this stop and lots of tours to choose from. We took the stingray tour and it was amazing. This was by far our favorite Carnival Legend itinerary.
