Are you looking at buying new bike but you are not sure what frame size? If you do, keep reading. First of all bikes are differently sized. If you are not too tall or too short you will probably need medium size frame. Every person is different and you should looking for a bike that fit's you best. There are many ways to calculate the right frame size for you.

How to measure bike frame?

Now you should stand over your bike and look for distance between crotch and bike crossbar. Usually that distance should be at least 2", or a little bit more, but there is no rule. Now, set your seat so that you touching peddle with foot but at the same time your leg is fully extended. This means that when you riding on the balls of your feet your leg will be slightly bent. This is very important because by not doing it so, you will put to much weight knees and these usually leads to injury.

If your seat is right down on it's lowest margin and your legs are slightly bent when you riding, it seems that frame is to big for you. If seat is on it's higher margin when your legs are slightly bent the frame is too small. This is also important cause if your seat is already on it's margins ( lower or higher ) you can't adjust it when you need. For example when you need to ride down the mountain.

Where I can calculate what size bike frame do i need?

If you really don't know what to do, you can always visit cyclist websites and bring in your dimensions into their on-line "fit calculator" and it cost you nothing, but it will give you good insight about picking frame. Just take your body measurements and plug in them into calculator. It works great unless you have some physical issue. Again, if you don't feel comfortable with size frame that calculator recommend you, then don't buy it. Usually your body will tell you which frame is best and most comfortable for you. Just listen to him.

When you are trying to pick between two bikes that looks the same but there is some difference in frame size, maybe you need to look at your personal pleasure. Probably both bikes would be good for you, but one will fit you better, and second will not. My advice is, if you have opportunity to go to the local bike store and try different frame sizes. Then you will know what frame best fits your needs. Then you can search frames on the Internet cause now you know what you are looking for.

If you don't have chance to buy bike in local store or it's too far from you, there is many really good on line bike shops that will give you a whole bunch of offers. Also they have shipping discounts so they give you bike in front of your doors. Also on Internet you will find much more bids for very low prices.

If you already answered the question "What SizeBikeFrame Do I Need?" you can easily go to the Bike Frame Size Chart and choose bike if you like.
