Fun Cycling With An Electric Assist Bicycle

By-pass gas stations and traffic jams on your electric bicycle.

You can ride around traffic jams and give gas stations the cold shoulder when you ride an electric power assist bicycle to work and then pedal home for exercise. To charge an electric assist bicycle cost about ten cents. That charge will take you up to 20 miles. That's like paying ten cents per gallon for gas. If we ever have gas shortages, like in the seventies during the Arab oil embargo, your power assist bicycle will give you a dependable way of getting around.

E-Bikes are a trend that is exploding around the globe. Thirty million sold in 2012 and the number is expected to climb. Three hundred thousand sole in the USA in 2012.

You can pedal if you want to.

Get your exercise by pedaling and switch to electric assistance when you want to. Some electric motors will sense when you are pedaling harder and automatically kick in to assist you!

Zero emission trips to the store.

And how about that short trip to the store for bread and milk. You can go to the store at around 15 mph and not spew carbon into the environment while you by-pass traffic. Electric bicycles are zero emission vehicles. And the electric used to charge the batteries is minimal.

Forget about parallel parking or backing into a spot. Your parking worries are over.

Get a bicycle baby strollers to attach behind your bike.You can use the electric assist motor when you need a little extra help. Take the kids with you, but only pedal if you want to. Then pull right up to the store!

Don't drive a gas guzzler on a ten minute ride to the hardware store!

Hook a small E-Bike trailer to the back of your bike and haul items home from the hardware store. There are small trailers you can buy that will hold large items.

DO It Yourself Convert your regular bike to electric.

You can have a bicycle mechanic convert your regular bike to an electric bicycle with an electric bike motor kit or you can do it yourself in a couple of hours. There are online videos to show you how. This will save you lots of money.

Take your e-bike on vacation with you.

You could even take your bicycle on vacation, using the electric power assistance only when you need a little extra help on those hills or when you just want to relax and let your bicycle do the work. The electric motor will kick in when it senses you are pedaling harder. Or you can get one that will only assist you when you decide to turn it on. And you don't have to worry about where to park. There is no learning curve on using these bikes. The brakes are the same as on a regular bike. But you could take your own bike and save on the rental fees

You can now rent an electric assist bicycle and take a fun tour of some cities and wineries here in the USA such as Napa valley in California where you will take a day and a half wine tasting trip, or Austin, Texas where you can take a two hour city tour. Electric bike tours are very popular. So if you don't want to take your bicycle on vacation it's possible in some cities to take an E-bike tour when you get there.

Both. It's my preferred mode of travel. I had some issues with my driver's license a while back so I started to walk everywhere I went. Then I bought a bike, got used to that, found out about electric bikes, and the rest is history.
