Groups

There are six main groups in Nassau, The Saxon, Valley Boys, Music Makers, Roots, Barabas and the Tribes and One Family. But the two most popular are the Valley Boys and the Saxon. Whenever one of these groups nears Rawson square, " the crowd exploded with the chanting of "the saxon" " the saxon" while this is happening."

Francis the leader of his group steps down from his throne, in all his majestic colours, he will execute his fantastic shuffle, shaking his head, with out stretched arms, with fingers and body moving, smiling from ear to ear, with the pulsating music of his group in the rear, he captivates the crowd and they roar with approval.

My Experience

I have worked as a Law Enforcement Officer at many of these events, and while I love to listen to the music and enjoy the artistic beauty of the costumes, when the parade is over my legs shows sign of fatigue.

Exercise

For the soul of the parade to move to the next level, the participants must first improve their physical strength and endurance, and purge participants who are not physically fit to compete.

Dancers

At present the dancers currently practise choreograph routine, but that is not enough to advance the spirit of the dancers. The dancers must apply aerobics in their routine. Adding running or jogging on a sandy beach would help this. Doing sit-ups to strengthen the abdominal cavity and hyper extension exercise will allow them to manipulate their buttocks in a sensual body swing, which will enhance the rush. These movements will improve energy, ability and excitement that will transfer this sensation to the spectators.

CowBell ers - Drummer - Horn

This group must include the exercise routine of the dancers, but the application the exercise is different, they will be rushing with drums, and the sit-ups is to strengthen the center of balance on their bodies. They will also have to exercise the upper back, arms and shoulder region for most favourable results.

Heavy Costume Lifters

This group requires more gym training that all the other groups, because they carry the main pieces and banners, they need to train like a Power lifters. They need the same exercise as Drummers but more. To complete their task, they should include 3 sets squats 6 reps, 3 sets of sit-ups 10 reps, 3 sets of hyper extension 10 reps, 3 sets of lower back pulley 8 reps, 3 sets of Lat Pull down 8 reps, 3 sets shoulder press 8 reps, 3 sets of curls 8 reps, 3 sets of triceps 8 reps.

Supplements

To undertake these added benefits, the competitors must consume a balanced meal, but the night of the event, it is important that they consume a lot of complex and basic carbohydrates, sports and energy drinks and lots of water.
