It feels like crap when a guy you like just stops texting you. Often this happens gradually. He starts out with a bang, then it dwindles down and you slowly notice his texts become less and less. Other times it just happens one day, he stopped texting. Why do guys stop texting and what can you do about it?
First off, guys do what they want to do. If they want to text you, they will. If they aren't texting, you could just be an option instead of a priority in his life. Guys stop texting for many reasons. They have another girl that is the priority that maybe you aren't aware of. They got bored with you. Regardless, if a guy isn't texting you, he isn't really that all attracted to you. Attraction is the key and believe it or not, what you texted him and how you texted him could have killed the attraction for him.
Your texting techniques are very revealing. A guy can tell if you are fun, or dram filled by this, trust me. For example, if you are always the first one to send him a text and he isn't texting you first, this tells him you may be desperate or at worst easily available to him. It will leave little doubt as to if you are into him or not. It leaves little room for his imagination to wonder about you. Guys fall in love in their imagination so learning to text to trigger this may be a solution in the future to help you avoid a guy disappearing on you and you won't be asking very often "why he stopped texting".
I have heard women give many excuses for when he stops texting. He is busy at work. He has a lot on his plate. He may not know I am interested. These are all excuses. If a man is into you, he will find time. Otherwise he will risk losing you to a guy who is texting you. Guys like a little competition by the way.
If he stopped texting, your best bet is to recognize that he may not be the guy for you and leave him alone. Hopefully the guy for you is willing to put in the effort. If you still text him after he stopped, you are only coming across as a drama queen or desperate or needy. Leave him alone and perhaps he will see you as a challenge and try again later, but this isn't always the case.
To avoid this happening to you in the future, check your texting habits and think about what messages you may be sending him on a subliminal level. Texting is the best dating tool you have, learn to use it wisely so that you won't be asking your girlfriends, why he stopped texting.
