Part 1

I was only 18 years old when i got married to a man who is 10 years older than me.That was 1990. I may not say he was a perfect guy but he was good enough to be a good husband and a good father. A good provider... A responsible and loving partner.

I Was dreaming of a golden anniversarry. That he and me until we got old. He and me to takecare of our grand children. He and me even our hairs turned gray... But life being with him was too short.

January 6, 1998 was a traumatic day for me. Thaugh day was very calm. No announcements that there could be a storm coming. I never thaught that the storm was strong enough to destroy my life. That was unexpected

PART 2

It is very hard to think that I have to pursue life being alone. But i have to do it. I have to be brave for my three little children. My eldest was only 6 years old ,second is 4 and youngest is 1year and 4 months. And life in province is not that easy to produce money. I am just a plain housewife. No experience on how to create and find money for the family. But I did not gave space for this reason in my life. I have to make things possible for my children.

I start our life being a single after the interment. I tried to meet both ends of the world. Since farming is the #1 source of income in our place so i do farming, I went to the farm to harvest palay. And even planting palay. This things I never did when my husband stil with us. Aside from this kind of job in which income is very minimal, I have to do some other source of income. I cooked food in which i have to sell to the neighborhood. I did this things for five years.

Children are growing up, our consume is also going up and my income in harvesting is not enough. Expences in their studies, our daily needs... foods, chlothing, and the bills. Gosh giving me head ache.

Most of the time i just cry. But I keep praying. Prayers that give me strength. Up to this days my strength is coming from high above. Nothing is imposible in this world if we just pray. I had proven that. And i know not only me proved it.
