Colorado has been experiencing some of the worst wildfires in the United States for many years. Communities are being destroyed because of the fires and tens of thousands of people have been evacuated already. The property damage is immense and the citizens who are less well of are finally running out of options. Many of them are unable to come up with the emergency funds that they need in order to pay for food, shelter, and other amenities that they need without their home. Some have even made the mistake of going into debt in order to live better during these rough times. There are ways to avoid going into debt when emergency situations occur such as this one.
First of all, it is best to always save some money no matter how badly you might be doing. Try to save some change if you have to so that you can have a small emergency fund for when disaster strikes. Disasters don’t even have to necessarily be natural. Losing your job would put you in a bad situation that requires getting loans in order to survive. Just save money as best as possible and you will most likely be able to avoid these hardships.
Natural disasters can come at any time and it is hard to plan for them. However, make sure that you listen to warnings on the news so that you can prepare beforehand. Take all the valuables out of your home and make sure to keep food with you as well. With all of your valuables, clothes, and food you should be able to survive temporarily until you can find a better place to go. This way you will not need to resort to taking out different types of loans in order to survive.
Your last resort in the direst circumstances may be getting quick loans which can cause you to get into a payday loan trap, but try to use your credit cards in order to survive prior to doing this. You may end up falling into the payday loan cycle of debt that haunts so many people just because of a single emergency. Unfortunately, the cycle is nearly impossible to get out of. Instead, make sure to protect yourself by listening to warnings in the news and by saving money as best as you can. This will allow you to have some savings when disaster strikes so you don’t resort to debt in order to survive.

Prior arrangements with family and friends is always helpful. It's amazing how long one can last if it's absolutely necessary. Thanks for sharing

Yes, having a larger family means you have someone who will always be there for you no matter what happens. That would be nice. My family is too small ;)
