Do you ever sit thinking things like "why am I depressed?" or is it just me? It really does seem like I'm lacking some basic common sense at times. Maybe I was dropped on my head a little too much in my baby days.
Didn't have car seats back then.
Of all the things you can forget too do, and this is some really simple advice and it's too...(drumroll)
Take your Medication!
Of all the things you can forget to do, how in the heck could I be so silly.
Honestly, this is made so simple for me as everything is done for me when I get the prescription. They're all sorted out into separate boxes for morning and night daily for the week coming.
So all I have to do is take them.
It just makes me feel so stupid at times. Then I wonder why I'm depressed and taking a guess that it might have something to do with it.
After all, I don't see depression as a disease.
I mean, feeling stupid isn't really going to make you feel any better about yourself. Is It? I guess not, so that's something else that might need to be factored into the Self Improvement Plan.
How it can be done, I have no idea.
But I have read things about stuff that can improve your memory. Think there's something to do with the Nintendo DS too.
The brain training game. (wonder if they'll have that for the Wii)
Maybe even Sudoku.
Starting out the year it was all about self improvement and doing things to better cope with depression. It seems the list of things that can be done is limitless. It makes me feel glad I started looking into the depression thing.
So far, this is now the second thing that I understand needs to be addressed. Something I wouldn't have thought about if I hadn't started looking for "what to do about depression".
That's improving sleep and now improving memory.
A good thing about here too is I can document things down and when I wonder why I am depressed, I can jump on the net and see the journal of what's been accomplished. What's more is that others in the same predicament can do the same and learn some stuff that will help them to better theirselves too.
Here's hoping that this year is going to be the one where things all come together and work it out. With 4 days, I now know that I need to work on finding tips for an improved sleep and another is to try some of those brain train things for improving memory.
Who knows what can be accomplished in the next 12 months, but what I can tell you is you are better off with one goal, no matter whether it's figuring out what to do about depression or if it's just getting fitter. Make the decision and the ways to accomplish your goal will come to you naturally. It's not like depression is a disease.
What's your goals?
