Make a candy bouquet you say? Yes, if it weren't so complicated maybe! Well I say it's not, all you need is some free time and an inspiration! What I'm gonna do now is not give you a direct recepie for this bouquet thing but some hints that I hope you'll like.
First thing's first, you neen some candy. Well, a lot of them would say: use hard candy. I think that hard candy is good but why limitate ourselves to it? There's a whole variety of sweets out there and if you don't like the wide palette, make them yourself! It's that easy! Later we may discuss on how to make candy or even how to make rock candy, my favorite lately!
When making a bouquet you need a floral foam and a vase, and that's all from the fancy craft world! You can even make a vase, container on your own, out of a clay if you have the fingers for it, paint it even. So, grab some colored or non colored paper (this one you can paint later), stem wires, and tape. You will then simply attach the hard candy with its top to the stem, with the tape. You may attach 9-12 of them along the stem (candies are leaves). And, you have your flower stems! The flowers you make by cutting circles out of that colored paper thing and sticking trough the center of it a stem wire with an attached chocolate candy on top of it. This way the chocolate bonbon plays the center of the flower and the circle plays the petals. So you have your flowers.
This is the general principle of making candy stems and flowers but varieties are endless. One more thing, this floral art that you make, you must pierce the floral foam with it so they stand vertically. And everything you make you just keep adding to the floral foam. As simple as that. You can add to your bouquet some grass, artificial or natural one or some real or silk flowers even. Depends upon your prefferences!
Above all, I love those really inovative candy decorations, they may be in shape of a guitar or even a laptop. Perfect for a child's birthday! A great source for a lot of those is a book by Lana „Something“(I'm not sure of the last name, sorry Lana!) and it's called How To Make Candy Boquetes.
One time I decorated my birthday house with her recipies and people were pretty surprised. I wanted to try the book and got pretty involved with it. My guests loved the decorations, you could see it on their faces but what I like the most is how simple and fun it was. You need almost nothing to make something. Simple and creative! Some of my friends came to me later commenting how surprised they were and wanted to know more. There's a conversation for your party but also this will keep your kids in a great mood also!
Have fun ladies, and gentelmen of course! I almost forgot, try improvising with bagged cotton candy, butterscotch , make a retro bouquet with retro candy, use some candy sand, ice candy, makeyour own candy, bitter chocolate for grownups or milk chocolate for little ones! Why not try and make a Swiss chocolate bouquet or a Belgian one, with their brands so you can all try some new stuff. That's all from me! Hope you'll have fun! Cheers
