3 Essential Beach Accessories You Didn\'t Know Existed

What are the essentials you think of when you pack for a trip to the beach? A towel, sunscreen, and possibly an umbrella, these are the necessities, correct? They were until now. Depending on the type of person you are, you may also pack a cooler with beers and drink mixes. Don’t forget that you have to worry about your phone, wallet and car keys.

The reason you have to limit yourself to essentials is because the beach is a relatively harsh environment. Sand and water put a restraint on things you can bring. You don’t want to damage a stereo, you don’t want to lug large items, and you don’t want to bring home tons of sand.

That’s where these three cool essentials come in. They are items you may have never seen before, or you may have noticed them in the winter and you weren’t beach minded enough to think of them as future essentials for the summer.

1. The Sand-Free Beach Mat. What’s worse than a sandy beach towel? A sandy towel is uncomfortable, it won’t do its drying job, and it will carry sand all the way home, no matter how hard you try to beat the sand out. The Sand-Free Beach Mat will make sure you never have a sandy towel again. The beach mat traps the sand from your feet and filters it down. Put a towel in the middle of the mat and rub your feet before you get on the towel. If you’re really sandy, rub your entire body on the mat.

2. The Umbrella-Tent. The days of setting up an umbrella for sun shelter, only to have to chase it halfway down the beach when it blows away, are over. The Umbrella-Tent doubles as an umbrella and a half canopy shelter. It’s portable like an umbrella, but it folds out to become a sun sheltering little tent with stakes that keep it in the ground.

3. The Weatherproof Stereo is a waterproof speaker that also triples as a wallet and phone case. This one should be a staple in your beach bag. The mini stereo plays music from your phone louder and crisper than your phone ever could. The stereo opens in half like a wallet. Inside is the headphone jack cord that’ll play any phone. The inside of the stereo has room for your phone, car keys, cash, credit cards, parking stub, and IDs. When closed, the stereo is waterproof and sand proof, protecting everything inside.

These new beach accessories are reinventing the gear that goes into the beach bag. Don't forget the Umbrella-Tent, Sand-Free Beach Mat and Weatherproof Stereo next time you plan on getting sandy. They’re affordable, convenient, and make for a more enjoyable time at the beach.
