The capital of Urkaine, Kiev, is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. But this time we do not invite you to the capital, we invite you to discover Vinnitsa this time! Vinnitsa city - is the center of Vinnitsa region, Ukraine.

We are glad to introduce you this small but very pretty town. Vinnitsa is situated in the central part of Ukraine a bit to the South from Kiev. The total area of Vinnitsa region is about 16 thousand sq. miles, with about half a million pulation.

The climate of Vinnitsa region is moderately humid. The usual temperature in summer is +22°C, and - 6°C in winter. The bathing season lasts from June to August and many citizens go picnicking in open air on weekends.

Vinnitsa is the main industrial, transport, agricultural, cultural, and educational center of the region. The enterprises of the town and industrial centers such as Kalynivka, Zhmerinka, Gaisin, Bershad etc can produce chemicals, motors and instruments, radio and TV lamps, building details, furniture, and food products.

Vinnitsa is known as agricultural center because the fertile soil of the region is favorable for vegetables in and fruit trees. The main crop here is sugar beet. Sugar beets raising and sugar industry are widely spread in all Ukraine. Many of guests of Vinnitsa enjoy visiting the museum of the classic of Ukrainian literature Michailo Kotsubinskiy (1864-1913). You will find expositions devoted to various periods of the development of Vinnitsa - for example from the times of antique coins, vases and cutlery of the Slavs as well as modern examples of products which Vinnitsa enterprises produce.

There is one more place in the town which is wellknown: the world Hitler's Headquarters, situated between Vinnitsa and the village of Strizhavka.

Besides history Ukraine is famous for its cuisine, one of most delicious in the world. In any kitchen of the world there is no same delicious and simultaneously useful dish as Ukrainian borsch! Nothing not to have a look in with our vareniks and our salo (pork fat bacon)! Among drinks selected gorilka, (hard liquor from a wheat with a pepper) and vine (Crimean, considered one of the best in the world).

And one more thing to notiuce: the most important riches of our country are people. Ukrainians are very talented people in general, much in our midst it was poets, musicians, philosophers and enlighteners. In any country of Europe, you will not find so kind, always ready to help people.
