Many families only get to go to Disney a couple times in their life. One of the reasons is the simple fact that Disney World can be VERY expensive. However, there are ways to bring expenses down and make that trip to Disney much more affordable. Today we'll learn three ways to save money while you are visiting the Disney parks.
1. Staying Offsite -- Although there are many advantages to staying onsite, it will cost you money. You can usually find local hotels for less than 100 bucks a night. If you are travelling with another family there is an additional way that you can save quite a bit of money. There are many local rental homes that you can rent for an entire week. When splitting with another family, this can dramatically decrease your lodging costs, and you'll have all the amenities and space of a nice home, as well as a full kitchen to cook meals.
2. Finding Cheap Tickets -- So if you've made your lodging reservations, you are on to the next step, Disney tickets. There are a number of ways to find cheap tickets. One way is to look online and find EBAY tickets from reputable sources. Many times these come at a definite discount. There also are many websites, such as mousesavers, that specialize in Disney ticket deals.
3. Saving Money by eating cheap -- Food is very expensive at Disney World. I recommend doing a couple things to bring costs down. First of all, try eating at least one meal outside of the parks. If you are staying in a home, you can go to a local Walmart and get sandwiches and cheap meals to eat on nap breaks. I also highly recommend bringing a backpack into Disney World filled with snacks and treats that will keep your kids hydrated and also keep them from being hungry. You also can consider staying at a hotel that has free breakfasts. This gives you free meals for your entire trip, and I encourage everyone to eat a lot at that time.
4. Souvenirs -- The kids love souvenirs while at Disney. But they will cost you an arm and a leg if you buy them onsite. A good way to get around that is to play a little trick on them. Buy souvenirs before-hand at Walmart or Target. Then put them in a bag and bring a few to the park each day. Then you can hand your kids the bag (try to re-use Disney bags for maximum effect) and they will never know the difference.
Using these tips can bring the overall price of the trip down to a level you can possibly afford. If you have more questions about how to go to Disney World cheap, please visit our website on Disney Hints!

Love Disney World - Been a LONG TIME - Got to get back some day.
I like the idea of buying the trinkets beforehand and then giving them out each day. That right there can save a ton of money. Thanks for these tips, my Disney friend.
