Wheeled Luggage Europe Travel

Europe is an interesting continent to travel. And one of the factors that could affect your journey is the luggage that you bring along. You would not want your luggage to fail or break as this could cost you time, money and fun. You could go either with a backpack or a wheeled luggage for your Europe travel. It is a matter of preference. But if you do choose the wheeled luggage for your trip, there are several things to consider.

The size of luggage that you are going to choose would depend on how long you are going to be there. If you are going for a week to two weeks duration, a 22” expandable wheeled luggage would be fine. But the key is to pack effectively. Bring clothes and accessories that are multi use and that can dry quickly. And instead of bringing more clothes, consider washing more frequently as this method would help you travel with less stuff. This would also help if you have to walk up the stairs of hotel or hostel with no lifts. The other reason for choosing the 22” size luggage is that you could bring it as a carry on aboard the flight and eliminate the need to check in and deal with lost luggage.

The next thing to consider is the general terrain of your travel. If the terrain is an almost flat, then it is worth considering the wheeled luggage. If the roads and walkways are covered with cobble stones, one might think that it is not suitable for a wheeled luggage. But there is a solution to this if you opt for a wheeled luggage, look for luggage with large wheels of the inline skating type. This you help you maneuver better through the rough surface of the cobble stone.

If you are in the planning stage of your trip. I suggest that you pre-book your accommodation that is within 5 to 10 minutes walk from the train station. The train systems are pretty reliable in most part of Europe. Other than getting better rates when you pre-book, you would also save on taxi fares for the journey from the train station to your hotel or hostel.

These are some of the important things to consider if you are planning a trip to Europe with a wheeled luggage. Please do a bit of research on the terrain where you are going to. This would really help a lot and to avoid looking stupid bringing a wheeled luggage arriving at a hill slope town. If you have not bought your Europe trip wheeled luggage and considering one. I would suggest the Burton Wheelie Flight Deck. It has ample space for packing and it comes with an inline skate type wheels.
