Coffee enemas are starting to be accepted at a common way to detoxify the body. It's no secret that every day, a lot of the pre-packaged and processed foods we consume pollute the natural eco-system of our body. To add gas to the flames, there are a lot of outside influences like smog and other pollutants in the places we live that fill our bodies with disease causing chemicals. While these pollutants may not 'directly' cause some of our ailments, its only logical that over time, the prolonged collection of these toxins can affect us in a negative way. They can cause things like acne and other skin problems, headaches and migraines, constipation, digestive problems, and even cancer. Coffee enemas are a great way to detoxify the body and treat, if not sure these ailments. This is a standard coffee enema procedure.
1. Prepare the coffee
It's a good idea to use organic coffee. It's just logical that to fully detoxify your body, you need to use pure ingredients. Because the coffee is absorbed directly into the bloodstream, any presence of toxins like pesticides or other chemicals will come into more direct contact with your body. When we drink coffee, these might not be so noticeable due the digestion and metabolism process, but it's not the same with a coffee enema.
The first step in a proper coffee enema procedure is to grind the coffee. Because the coffee will be boiled, and not brewed to taste, the grind is not so important. A course grind will be easier to filter later, and you're going to be boiling for a while so extracting all those detoxifying agents won't be a problem.
Use a glass pot to boil. Don't use a filter like with drip coffee makers as they may contain bleach or other chemicals. There are many kinds of glass coffee pots that can be placed direct on the stove to boil. Some coffee enema procedures recommend placing the coffee in the water (filtered) and then bringing it to a boil, after which you simmer for 15 minutes. Some say that boiled water should be poured over the coffee grinds and then simmered. I say it's pretty much the same. You should boil about four tablespoons of coffee in one liter of water.
2. Prepare the enema
The next step in the coffee enema procedure is to prep the enema bag with the coffee. Be sure to check the temperature of the coffee. It should not be hot. Room temperature or lukewarm is as hot as you want to go, or you can damage your large intestine. If this is your first time, don't try to take too much coffee in one go. Use just a quarter of the liter of coffee you now have, or even half is ok. If you're a more experienced enema user then you'll have a better idea of how much you can take, and how many times will be necessary.
Find a comfortable place, place the enema bag or bucket on a door nob or place higher than your body (when laying down). Put some lubrication on the end of the enema tube and insert it into your anus. About two to three inches should be enough, but do what you feel most comfortable with. Release the clamp on the enema tube and slowly let the enema run into your large intestine. When you have taken all the coffee, remove the tube, and relax. Try changing sides, and laying on your back. This will ensure that your coffee enema is complete an effective. Retain the coffee enema for about fifteen minutes, then release into the toilet. Two or three times to complete the liter of coffee is normal.
Different sites may recommend variations on this coffee enema procedure. Some of the amounts and times may vary slightly, but the coffee enema procedure featured here is pretty much what should happen. As the popularity and acceptance of coffee as an effective detoxification method grows, so will the information about and products to make it more effective become more common. There is even a kind of organic coffee for enemas only - roasted to enema specification! You bet that things like this will continue to appear in the future.
