When I started the GNC 7 Day Complete Body Cleansing Program, I was skeptical because I had tried other cleanses in the past and had some harrowing experiences including cramps, headaches, being miserable from too much water and too little food, and spending way too much time in the loo. And some of the powder mixes were downright yucky.
However, knowing GNC’s reputation to be exemplary, I was willing to try their cleansing program. GNC offers several cleansing programs ranging from colon cleanses to whole body cleanses and I wanted a whole body cleanse. It occurs to me that there really is no sense in performing a colon cleanse or one designed for a particular body part or function when other organs in the rest of your system, along with fat cells and free radicals running rampant, are dumping toxic waste after the cleanse like a chaser. This only leads to more frequent cleanses (colon, kidney, Candida, liver, etc.) and more costs. And many of these cleanses are hard on the body’s system and can cause it to become dependent if used too often and leave the body unable to function properly on its own.
Gentle Yet Effective
What I am truly impressed with is that GNC’s Complete Body Cleansing Program is very gentle on the system yet effective in doing its job. I’ve never felt ill, had cramps or headaches, or spent excessive time in the bathroom while taking this product.
The GNC Complete Body Cleansing Program is an enzyme blend that aids in the elimination of toxins and waste in organs throughout the body. It also cleanses the gastro-intestinal tract and increases blood circulation. It is made up of organic ingredients including fiber. You also get good, healthy probiotic and prebiotic benefits. (Think L acidophilus or Lactobacillus acidophilus, which are microorganisms that support the digestive tract.)
No Fasting Involved
I am not a proponent of fasting and am glad I don’t have to on this program. GNC’s program includes meal plans for each day, including snacks, on a sheet inside the box. If you want to stray from their meal plan, feel free. The same sheet gives you a list of foods to eat and those to limit within each food group.
While on any cleansing program, try to avoid any but the freshest, natural foods you can get as suggested by the program’s package insert. Yogurt and salads are great to eat although you should stay away from yogurts with aspartame, as this is not a natural substance.
When to Perform a Cleanse
I’ve completed one of these cleanses at each change of season for the past two years and have had better health, better immunity, clearer skin, and more energy with which to kick-off each season. I even feel lighter after each cleanse.
Another good time to perform this cleanse is just prior to going on a diet. It will help your body get on track and get you back in the habit of eating healthier foods. You may even find that you weigh a few pounds less by the end of the week.
Natural, Easy to Follow and Integrate
The cleansing plan is easy to follow with simple, clear, step-by-step instructions. I find it very easy to integrate into my daily schedule. A few tablets and the drink mix with breakfast and a few tablets in the evening and your done for the day. This makes it very convenient as you don't have to think about it throughout the day or do anything that would interfere with your daytime routine or time constraints. It’s also natural, which is exactly what I wanted, and it only takes seven days to complete.
What to Expect
The ingredients for each product are listed separately as well as the benefits and nutritional value of the products in each packet. The packets are packaged for daily use making it easy to know exactly what to take and when. One packet contains tablets already packed together and clearly marked for morning with breakfast and a second packet of the same kind for evening. A third contains powder that doesn’t taste bad – at least not as bad as others I’ve tried – and that you can add to juice or water at breakfast (although I recommend the juice), and the last bottle holds tablets to take with dinner (one a night). The only thing you have to do during the day is lay off the junk food!
For a gentle complete body-cleansing program that works, trust GNC. Their 7 Day Complete Body Cleansing Program has everything you need to give your health a boost, ward off disease, and lift your energy level.
Thanks for all the comments. I have been remiss in my duties in responding to comments due to family obligations but hope to get back into the swing of things real soon. Being a primary caregiver for an elderly parent in addition to working is time consuming. I really do appreciate your comments and altho I'm late in getting back to you, I hope you find the cleanse and the info helpful.
Ok. I just started this cleanse on Sunday and have already noticed that lost a little over two pounds. You do have to be well disciplined. And if I can do it anyone can. I do feel a lot better. I will give another review when I complete the seventh day! Oh, you shouldn't cheat on this cleanse. Although, I have snuck a snack in, but I don't think t did any harm. Wish me luck.
I know the powder is kinda yucky but try to get thru it...it is a large part of the cleanse. Since everyone's metabolism is different, I can't answer your question...I don't know how much you eat or what you eat while cleansing but you should lose some weight. Drink lots of water and exercise or at least take nice walks to help speed up the weight loss.
do you think this cleanse is capable of clearing out unwanted drugs in your system? i was offered a self-rolled cigarette(I don't smoke often and everyone is rolling their own now that prices have went up) and the cigarette didnt have just tobacco. it also contained some marijuana. i took a couple drags before noticing the funky smell and i get drug tested for my work.
It may help but it is not a detox cleansing system generally speaking. If you only took a small amount and do not usually smoke marijuana, your system will not have a build up of the residue or hold onto it for very long. Heavy marijuana use takes at least a month to clean out, but minor infractions like this may only take a week. You also don't inhale and hold a breath of cigarette smoke the way you do with marijuana so you may not have even gotten much in your system if you only took two brief puffs. If it is a urine test you are concerned about and it hasn't been that long, it may show in such a trace or minute amount that the test won't even register it or at least not strongly. If it is a hair test, that's different. Our hair is a history of all the things we take into our bodies. Please know that I am only giving you my opinion and that I am not a medical expert on this subject. Thanks for your comment.
Thank you for responding so quickly. i have already been taking this product as a pre-caution, but i am glad that i did regardless as i feel more energized with each passing day. this has also got me to eat more healthy as a result.
Thank you for writing about a gentle cleanse. I have tried other ways of cleansing my body, and I would end up feeling dizzy and having headaches. Of course, if we do a body cleanse, it is not a good idea to eat a lot of junk food in-between the cleanses ;) We already know that stuff is not healthy.
