Lemon Juice Detox - Detox The Body Naturally

A lemon juice detox is common among people who want to cleanse their body naturally, it is a simple process where you make a drink with hot water and lemon juice. Start by preparing one cup of hot water and adding the juice of one lemon. To make it easier to drink you can add a natural sweetener such as stevia. It is advised not to consume sugar as this can increase the amount of toxins in the body.

A lemon juice detox helps the liver to remove excess toxins and can help in the cleansing process. This drink can also help you lose weight, if this is the case it is best to prepare the drink in the morining. For cleansing purposes you can take this drink at night before you go to bed.

Lemon juice has many benefits, it can help cleanse your colon, boost your immune system which can help you from getting minor infections such as the flu. It has also been used to dissolve gall stones, relieve headaches and various pains in the body and it can also help with digestion.

You can also add other ingredients which can help with the cleansing process, these are ginger or cayenne pepper. If you are trying to lose weight it is important to have a healthy diet and avoid foods that are not good for you as this can slow down your metabolism.

You do not need to fast while on this diet as long as you are eating foods that are highly nutritious and stay away from unhealthy foods such as processed foods. A lemon juice detox is not to be used long term only when cleansing is needed.

Even though lemons are known to be acidic it turns alkaline when it enters the body, particularly in the digestive tract. A alkaline body is needed as your immune system functions better, having a body that is highly acidic can cause a lot of inflammation and disease such as cancer.

Adding lemons in your diet can also improve your health as they are high in Vitamin C and is used in a natural body detox, you can add them in your salad dressings and marinades.Not only does this lemon juice detox work to cleanse and detoxify the body it is also very inexpensive.

While on a lemon juice detox you may also experience some detox healing reactions, this may include headaches, itchy skin and rashes or flu like symptoms. If this happens make sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water to help flush out the toxins. By going on a lemon water diet you will start to feel better and gain better nutrition.
