They've got everything these days, and it seems that with the growing popularity of coffee enemas, there's also a growing demand for organic coffee for these enemas. It's important that you use organic coffee for a coffee enema because organic means that there's a smaller chance of harming your body even further with all of those nasty pesticides and chemicals that are used on non-organic products. s.a. Wilson's takes it a step further, and has developed a roast specifically for enema use. Yes, you heard me right. s.a. Wilson's has a specific blend of coffee beans roasted to enema specifications called "Therapy Blend".

So what's so special about s.a. Wilson's organic Therapy Blend? Well, first think about what is vital in a coffee enema.

An important part of coffee enemas is the caffeine. Using the coffee as an enema rather than drinking it wasn't just made up by some guy with extra time on his hands. There's a scientific reason for this. The caffeine absorbed directly into the blood stream, through the intestinal walls, making the caffeine far more effective. The resulting boost of energy is quick, and long lasting, unlike when we drink coffee. Caffeine is also vital in stimulating the liver to produce bile, which is responsible for ridding the body of toxins. A proper coffee enema can produce up to 300% more bile than average. This means that your body will expel poisons and other toxins at an exponential rate.

s.a. Wilson's Therapy Blend has 48% more caffeine than your average roast mean for drinking.

That's not all either. Another proven benefit of coffee enemas is related to something called GST. This is the short name for glutathione s-transferase - a type of enzyme produced in the body. This enzyme is great for ridding the body of "free radicals" which are known to damage cells and cause cancer. Sorry to get so scientific there. The idea is that the palmitic acid in coffee activate this GST and help the body get rid of cancer causing toxins and cells.

s.a. Wilson's Therapy Blend has 87% more palmitic acid than other organic coffees.

My suggestion is that if you're going to do a coffee enema at home, do it right. Non-organic coffee is not recommended for a coffee enema, because the use of pesticides and other toxic materials during the bean growth is not regulated as well as for organic beans. If you're going to spend the extra money to get an organic coffee, you might at well get the REAL stuff from s.a. Wilson's.

It is however, not required that you do so. If you aren't into s.a. Wilson's, it is also possible to find a blend of coffee than you more suitable to your individual needs. In this case, it may take some experimenting to find a style of roast that you like. In general however, it should be noted that the therapeutic and healing quality of a lighter roast are greater than a darker roast. The roasting process can burn out a lot of the healthy stuff you're looking for when doing an enema like this. It is a myth that the darker the roast, the more caffeine the bean has - actually the opposite is true. If you take a look at the the s.a. Wilson's blend, you'll notice that their coffee is a golden-yellow color - a color very different from beans that you would use to make a cup for drinking.
