If you have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes symptoms then you have two choices, either take insulin, or begin a pre diabetes diet. If you choose to take insulin you will probably have to take insulin injections for the rest of your life.
There have been studies that indicate that you can prevent diabetes if you change your eating habits. Preparing and eating diabetic foods is a good way to start. By doing this it is quite possible, and maybe even probable, that you will diminish or eliminate your pre diabetes symptoms.
I know this to be true because my wife was diagnosed with pre diabetes symptoms. Learning this came as a surprise for both of us. Penny was not going to take any insulin injections or have anything to do with having diabetes. She at once began her research into pre diabetes symptoms. All her determination and research has paid off with a pre diabetes diet she has been to reverse these pre diabetes symptoms.
She began by looking at living with diabetes, how to prevent diabetes, and developing a pre diabetes diet. The question basically came down to diet. What kind of diabetes diets were they suggesting? Soon a pre diabetes diet became a priority on the research list. She found that taking natural supplements would go a long way to help the process in her diabetic diet plan. As her research progressed she was learning that the list was rather extensive. Never the less she was bound and determined to follow a natural pre diabetes diet and not take those painful insulin injections.
Here is what she came up with. Weight gain and aging were the primary causes of diabetes. When in combination what they can cause the body to produce less insulin and finally making it go into a prediabetes stage. She also found that if a person changed their diet to a low carb pre diabetes diet it was possible that they could reduce their pre diabetes symptoms.
She was about to embark on a new journey. What a journey it would become. She began by looking at a pre diabetes diet and what would be involved in finding foods for diabetics. She discovered that finding out about type ii diabetes and type ii pre diabetes diets was not going to be that difficult. There were a large number of so called diets for diabetics. One of the problems that she was finding with most of these pre diabetes diets is that they contained too many carbohydrates. Why? Carbohydrates are one of the main causes of type ii diabetes.
She soon found that in order to eat the basic and general diabetic foods that she desired she was going to have to develop her own pre diabetes diet menu. But she was and still is continually looking for different foods that she could incorporate into her diabetes diet.
She came to me just the other day all excited about some snacks she had found. One was Real Italian Ice no sugar added and the other was PhillySwirl Sweet Delites, it too was sugar free and she found them at Wal Mart.
During the course of a pre diabetes diet you will be mainly be eating nuts, greens, and meats. Still, you should not eat sugars or starches and especially do not drink alcohol. Once you find the pre diabetic foods you want to include in your recipes you will find it fun and interesting. It fascinates me how delicious the meals are that my wife creates when she is putting together a diabetes meal plan. She does this every day. You will find that the only difference in food for diabetics and regular people food is that foods for diabetics leave out the starches and the sugars.
Changing drinks may be a little more difficult. If you want to follow a good diabetic diet plan you are going to have to change what you drink. You will have to forego soft drinks with sugar, i.e. Coca Cola. You must not drink alcohol, beer, Whiskey, and wine. Well, a little wine with a meal once in awhile might be ok.
This also means that you will have to forego fruit juices and fruit drinks. By reading their labels you can determine whether or not these foods and drinks can be included in your pre diabetes diet. You can though, include club soda, mineral waters, and a drink called La Croix which can be found at Wal Mart, Target, HEB and most other super markets. La Croix is a slightly flavored soda water that comes in a variety of flavors. One of my wife’s favorite drinks is Topo Chico. Topo Chico is a mineral water drink bottled in Mexico. You can find this drink in the Spanish foods section of Wal Mart and Target.
If you have been diagnosed with pre diabetes symptoms and want to deal with it naturally you will need to create for yourself a pre diabetes diet plan. In order to do this you must research types of foods for diabetics and then fit them into your pre diabetes diet. There are many good books about how to cope with pre diabetes symptoms. Find one that suits you and It will help you begin your journey to pre diabetes prevention.
Always keep a positive attitude and keep your goals in mind and you will be able to help yourself prevent diabetes and by developing a pre diabetes diet plan you will be on your way to living with diabetes naturally.
