Reversing Diabetes Type 2

Diabetes is a disease that is commonly found in people even without them knowing it, mostly it more of hereditary and eating habits. A family that has a history of this disease is more likely to pass it on to the children of their children.

Type2 diabetes is not curable but it can be reversed by eating the right kind of foods exercises and observing you body weight and cholesterol.

When you are keen to consume foods that help balance your body glucose, you decrease oxidative stress and inflammation also improve toxin removal by the liver. This is important in preventing and reversing resistance of insulin and diabetes.

Detoxifying foods and also antioxidants, this includes omega 3, olive oils, beans, groundnut (or nuts in general) and seeds. All these improve your metabolism; prevent aging and other diseases that accompany aging.

The following are foods that are recommended for diabetes reversal:-

  • Protein consumption in the morning for your breakfast such as almonds, omega 3, butter from nuts etc.
  • Eating organic and animal produce whenever you get some.
  • Try and get omega 3 eggs (6-8) weekly.
  • Consume legumes such as chickpeas, lentils and soybeans. All these are foods that regulate the release of glucose in to the blood and reduce high insulin related diseases like high blood pressure, obesity, heart problems etc.
  • Eat vegetables such as, broccoli, spinach, kale, asparagus and cabbages.
  • Eat fruits like plum, cherries, apple and berries.
  • Consume anti-inflammatory foods such as dark green vegetables, sweet potatoes (especially the orange ones), wild fish, purple berry and many others.
  • Eat foods which contain garlic and onions because they contain oxidants that help in detoxification of your blood and also lowering your cholesterol levels.
  • Ensure that you consume herbal seasoned meals, with herbs such as ginger and rosemary which also help in detoxification processes.
  • Cook using extra-virgin oil and olive always.
  • Eat more of nuts such as macadamia, almonds and seeds e.g. Pumpkin seeds etc.
  • Consumption of bitter lemon has sugar reducing properties
  • Cinnamon improves blood sugar levels

for proper specifications on what to take and what does not affect your health it is advisable to see a nutritionist or your regular doctor for recommendations. Through my experience most of these things worked effectively

Avoids for successful reverse of diabetes:-

  • Artificial sugar and caffeine.
  • Junk and processed foods
  • Hydrogenated fat
  • Alcohol or if you take some, reduce it to less than four glasses of red wine in a week.
  • Canned foods
  • Avoid fries, cakes, cookies etc
