Hypoglycemia is known to elicit a characteristic series of psychological responses and cause typical symptoms and behavioral changes. Low blood sugar could be divided into two categories. One is the organic and the other is fasting. Other types of low blood sugar will fall under the relative and reactive hypoglycemia. When your blood sugar level declines from an escalated level abruptly, then one is suffering of a condition known as relative hypoglycemia and this is the most common type of low blood pressure.
Reactive hypoglycemia basically refers to the reactions of your body after you have taken a meal. It symptoms change relatively according to the food you eat. Many symptoms of hypoglycemia occur not by the drop in blood sugar level but rather the resulting glandular imbalances. The following are some of the symptoms of hypoglycemia. A person suffering of this disorder could be overweight. Low blood sugar can result to weight gain due to increased desires for sugary things.
These sweets and starches over-react and they there-fore stimulate over production of insulin. Excess insulin in the body leads to excessive storage of fats. Early clinical experiences with insulin therapy described certain symptoms and signs of hypoglycemia which include hunger, sweating, weakness and many others. Some of the patients suffer these symptoms at an unusually high glucose level while others tolerate rather low glucose levels with few symptoms.
Rapid respiration is also associated with people suffering from this disorder. Their skin appears pale and moist and some of them also suffer from dizziness. Low blood sugar accounts for deaths of four percent of the people suffering from diabetes. Low blood sugar levels also interfere with functions of the central nervous system.
Symptoms of low blood sugar level generally vary depending on the degree of blood sugar depression. In the very early stages the noticeable signs and symptoms mainly include body weakness, shakiness, excessive sweating, tachycardia or rapid pulse rate and rapid respiratory rate. As the situation deteriorates the person starts to occasionally suffer from unconsciousness. Once in a while a patient may look intoxicated. The speech of a patient could be altered too.
It is rare to find seizures in adults as a neurologic deficit. In any case if it occurs the other cause such as stroke could be considered. The above symptoms of low blood sugar level mostly develop in people when the glucose level is very low. Basically conscious patients could be treated with oral administration of sugars such as oral glucose or a glass of juice. Failure to recognize hypoglycemia on time may result to permanent brain damage since blood sugar is the sole source of nutrition for the brain. Further brain damage can even result to death. Generally low blood sugar level is a condition that is very serious and any natural remedies that could be taken to prevent it could be put in place to avoid any risks in the future.

This is great information. I had low blood sugar when I was a child, but I don't have a problem with it now. I have a friend who would very much like to read this article. Thanks again!
I am very exited Angela to hear that my article would be of much help to humanity
The symptoms of reactive hypoglycemia sound like what I had experienced in the past. I kept complaining to doctors about my weakness when I got hungry. I have avoided sugar and am doing much better. The doctors only tested me for fasting blood sugar. Thank you for writing an informative article.
Hi Sarah Thank you very much for having found my article useful
Blood sugar levels are critical, aren't they? I've been drinking electrolyte vitamin waters as needed to keep blood sugar levels whenever I've been unable to eat from pain. Now I see in your article how necessary that's been - thanks for great information.
Hi Cynthia My wish to you is a very good morning Please accept my appreciation for your having hand time to positively comment on my article Thank you
That's a really interesting article and enjoyable read, as you know sugar production is a huge problem and growing. Last year alone an x-employer of mine was diagnosed with diabetes and someone else I know. The problem is there's just not enough publicly available and little media coverage regarding such an important health implication and the fact that sugars are present in just abut every ready made foodstuff and drink. Thanks for a very thorough and informative article Geoffrey.
Hi Enlightened Mind I have been diabetic for a long time and while looking for its cure I became very passionate about it. I wanted to get away from the impression created by doctors of feeding us with insulin instead of treating the pancreas to produce its own insulin. I am no longer on insulin and have therefore proved doctors wrong. Your having hand time to read and to comment on my article makes me feel very happy indeed . I would therefore like to thank you sincerely for this effort Asnte Sana
