Nane Foundation for Children With Disabilities - Matthew Story

Feeling that he was wanted so much, Matthew was in a hurry to know his parents and he was brought into this world with a month and a half earlier.

After a normal birth and the fact that after three days we can go home, we heard from our son's neonatologist that "our son could die in any moment. "

Our guardian angel helped us and after three weeks I got home. Matthew thrive, but with a certain motor delay due to the prematurity.

At the age of 11 months I noticed that even though he was walking holding hands,he couldn’t maintain his balance. We went to a specialist and our son was diagnosed with spastic paraparesis.

He began rehabilitation treatment at Budimex Hospital and at the age of two years and nine months he was making his first steps alone, But the seizures the joy was short, After several months he had his first seizure, then followed by investigation and he was given special treatment,

But the seizures continued causing him to lose a part of his gained knowledge, After several years in which I have tried many treatments, the frequency and duration of seizures began to decrease, After useless attempts to be accepted at one of the normal kindergartens I enrolled him at the special kindergarten No , 218,

In 2007, at age of 8 he started first grade at school No , 117 with the teacher Mrs. Sanda Dragutanu, Due to Mrs. Sanda Dragutanu and other teachers, colleagues he integrated smoothly in the classroom, Although the road to school is long and tiring for him, Matthew wants to be with his classmates, Now his health condition is stable but he needs to make permanent epileptic and physiotherapy.
