If everyone was blind, there would be far less concern about skin conditions. However, since everyone and anyone can see the spots and pimples no matter how small, it has become a major concern. Consequently, the cures for acne also abound.
One remedy that ranks among the best in the world is BenzaClin. It is a very powerful medication that has the combined effect of two very effective compounds: benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin (a topical antibiotic). One good thing about this medication, apart from being very effective, is that it is very convenient to apply during the day. It absorbs easily into the skin, therefore allowing you to apply cosmetics normally.
Both benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin are able to get the skin clear of acne causing bacteria. The antibiotic property of clindamycin is particularly useful in eliminating bacteria. Benzoyl peroxide works by introducing oxygen on the skin surface. Since the harmful bacteria is unable to survive in oxygenated conditions it simply dies-off. The combined action of benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin is much more effective than each compound separately.
Benzoyl peroxide can cause irritation and sensitivity on the skin. Therefore, a sunscreen would help to shield the skin from ultra violet rays. The person should also avoid too much exposure to the sun.
Applying the BenzaClin gel too close to the hairline can cause bleaching. Also avoid contact with broken skin or the eyes, since it can cause irritation.
BenzaClin is quite useful in treating inflamed breakouts. It takes about eight to twelve weeks for the treatment to completely clear out the skin condition. This means maintaining regular and continuous application to avoid recurrence of the skin ailment.
Make sure to first wash the skin using a cleanser before applying the BenzaClin gel. The remedy may also cause some side effects which are usually mild. These side effects include: itching, redness, peeling and dryness. To counter the drying of the skin, make sure to use a moisturizer. If these effects persist, seek medical advice.
Particularly, the patient should not apply BenzaClin with other treatments on the same skin surface. This would not only affect the effectiveness of the remedy but also cause other harmful reactions to the skin.
Unfortunately, BenzaClin may not work for people who have regional or ulcerative colitis. Also people who have antibiotic-induced colitis would not be suited for this remedy. Nursing mothers and pregnant women, however, have to seek the doctor’s advice about the use of this medication. This is because, the effect on the unborn baby has not been well established.
