Ebola Virus Origin

If there is a disease that has shaken a number of communities, is Ebola. It is almost like the biblical disease known as Leprosy where people would not want to be associated with a person suffering form such an illness. Therefore, the reader will agree that running away from the problems occasioned by Ebola is not the solution; it is rather confronting the problem head-on and one way is by understanding the nature of its origin. It is always the case that understanding the origin of a problem comes along with its solutions. This is the focus for the current short analysis as it will present the origin of Ebola from different point of views.

According to research, there lacks an accurate narration of the would-be origin or natural habitats of Ebola Virus. However, developments have been made and experts have produced divergent evidence on the same. For instance, surveys show the organism is more an animal-borne. Research also presents a three-tier subtype categories of ebola virus as follows: (a) Ebola-Ivory Coast (b) Ebola Sudan (c) Ebola-Zaire

As mentioned earlier, Ebola has been regarded as a zoonotic virus meaning it only subsists in animals found in the African continent. Another interpretation refers to the view of Ebola-reston, which was separated from infected cynomolgus apes that had been transported to United States as well as Italy. From the period 1994, outbreak cases of Ebola, for instance, in Congo and Cote d' ivoire are believed to live in chimpanzees and gorillas. On the other hand, in the period 2008 and the subsequent years, Ebola Reston type of viruses were established following the diverse outbreaks of the life threatening disease found in pigs. However, it was established that Ebola Reston could not annihilate the health of pigs.

A mentioned earlier, the disease infects the person upon contracting infection from Ebola virus whose name actually derives from a river in DRC Congo where it is believed to have originated. Moreover, the virus is among the two classes of a family related to RNA viruses referred to as the Filoviridae. Research also indicates that Ebola is more pronounced in areas such as Congo (mentioned above), Sudan, Uganda, Ivory Coast, and Gabon.

In general, Ebola just like any other disease needs to be controlled right from its primary origins. However, the most important part would be to develop mechanisms that may assist to alleviate the problem whenever it occurs. As such, what matters is how to help people that get infected with Ebola through creating reputable health centers around the globe and especially in areas where there is more likelihood for the disease.
