How To Lower Cholesterol The Easy Diet

How to lower cholesterol, the million dollar question all over the world as you know cholesterol is the main cause of many diseases like blood pressure, diabetes and more important one is the heart attack. As these cholesterols go and block the arteries and cause the heart attack by blocking the flow of blood to the heart.

You can answer how to lower cholesterol by modifying your diet with diet plan which does not have more cholesterol. Sounds simple but really it is hard to adjust to it. The first easy one to start with would be milk so go from whole milk to fat free milk. But importance of this diet plan is that it not only lowers but in the long run it can help you to maintain lower cholesterol with such a good diet plan. So go for it right away with your favourites, like if you are a green person go for more green vegetables or if you are a fruit person go for more fruits in your diet. But make sure that you are little careful on fruits if you are in the verge of diabetic.

When you eat heart healthy foods it automatically lowers your cholesterol and now the world has come to a consensus that these type of diets can help them in the long run also. So now you can see lot of such diets in the grocery stores to pick up. More than that they educate a lot as you can learn a lot just going through the cover of such heart healthy diets. Let us see a few of those,

The first one would be to reduce your fat intake. What does this mean? It means that you should switch from red meat to white meat and cut down trans fat from hydrogenated oils as they can increase the cholesterol quickly both LDL and HDL.

Next one would be to switch from simple or refined carbohydrates to complex carbohydrates. This is simple go from white bread to whole wheat bread, go from white pasta to whole grain pasta as these complex carbohydrates are hard to break and also has more fiber. If it is hard to break, it will not store easily as fat, the reason is carbohydrate is number one fuel to your body. Hence if you eat and start doing any work, it will get burnt. But if you are not doing any work then it will be converted to fat and stored for later use. And thus it gets accumulated over a period of time leading to obesity.

How to lower cholesterol with fruits and vegetables, go for more leafy vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower as they are best compared to fruits even. You can go for salads but go easy on cheese or other fatty dressing on the salads. You can also go for fruits which are having antioxidants like blueberry.

How to lower cholesterol by cutting down portion? You can go from 3 times a day to 5 times a day but now they are even recommending 7 to 11 portions a day. The portion might be one handful of food when it comes to 7 to 11 portions a day. When you control the portions, the cholesterol will be reduced as your metabolic rate might be increased with frequent food intake and less portion.
