There are many people selling the public a bill of sale on anti-aging products that will make you live longer.
At this point science has not come up with any products to help extend your life.
There is a whole bunch of stuff you can work on to help yourself live a longer and healthier life, but only if you want to.
This is the beginning of a series of articles I am writing about your health that will include just about anything you need to hear or want to find out about. Since I have worked as a scientist in infectious diseases I will refrain from telling you the information that I know that you do not want to hear. It will only scare you. We will keep this to a need to know only basis and make it fun.
I believe there are many vitamins, minerals, organic foods, and healthy past times that you can do to take advantage of making your health better and therefore extend your life. And in the process of doing these things you can live a healthier life as you live a longer life.
This is where you can start.
1. Exercise Is The Only Thing That Really Keeps You Young.
By now, almost everyone knows that to make your life healthier you absolutely must utilize some form of exercise, even if it is just going for a walk after dinner, or in the morning. There are those people who will say that they walk enough at work. Walking a short ways and stopping does not constitute exercise, but taking advantage of such a small thing to do daily will make you healthier. This gets your brain and all your cells more oxygen, which is the whole purpose of doing this.
If you are younger or used to doing more physical work, you can do running, aerobics, or weight training exercises where you will sweat and work hard. In this way you might even lose some weight. Although that all depends on the amount of calories you take in daily.
Your heart will work easier if you do not have a big belly pulling down on your heart muscle to probably shorten your life. These days I even see women with a big belly. There is nothing anti-aging about an overgrown stomach.
Heart muscle truly appreciates more oxygen and even if you have a bad back and don't want to hurt yourself you can sit in a chair and move your arms in some kind of aerobic exercise to get more oxygen to your heart and your brain.
Don't forget about exercising your brain and getting more oxygen to it. We will discuss your brain health, called neuroplasticity, in another article. I promise.
What You Can Do
It only makes sense to give your body what it needs.
Your heart needs and uses CoQ10 and your body does not make enough of it. In fact all your organs use CoQ10 which is also called Ubiquinol or CoEnzymeQ10. It is known by many other similar names.
1. Your gums need it to be healthy, as well as 1000 mg of Vitamin C daily. Any good dentist or periodontist should be telling you that.
2. It plays a unique role in the electron transport chain in every cell in the body it is used to synthesize energy.
3. It is essential for the health of all of the cells, tissues and organs in your body. CoQ10 helps the body convert food into energy, helps promote healthy gum tissue and plays a key role in promoting cardiovascular health. You need to supplement with CoQ10 because your heart needs it.
4. It is an essential component of the mitochondria, critical for energy production, and an important antioxidant. CoQ10 has its highest content in beef. You can see a chart with the amounts of CoQ10 in different foods.
Supplements
By the way when you are deciding to take vitamins, if you buy them at the drugstore they will have fillers in them. The vitamins are good for you but the fillers can just overtax your liver with toxins and make your health worse, if you take enough of them. Go and get your vitamins from a health food store where they sell quality name brand vitamins without fillers, and it will say so on the bottle. It will also show an expiration date on the bottle.
Results
Exercise will make you feel better and even give you energy the next day. You can start small. Even 10 minutes a day is good to begin with and work your way up to more. You need to get at least 20 minutes with your heart rate at 120 BPM (beats per minute) to get the benefit from it. If you do aerobics while watching the TV or listening to music the time will just fly by. But continue to do it and do not forget, or get side tracked. You need to make certain that you get it done. You will feel the difference.
My feeling is that Tai Chi is the best form of any kind of anti-aging sport. You can do it all the way to the end of your life and it should keep you in good health as far as your muscles are concerned. A Tai Chi routine uses every single muscle in your body without overexerting your muscles. Tai Chi is an incredibly healthy thing for you to do every single morning of your life as you can see by the photo.
The best anti-aging product you can buy is a membership to a gym where you can learn Tai Chi and any other classes they have that are good for your health.
I remember when I was so ill after the treatment for my illness and nine months in bed that I had to start with one minute of exercise a day until I could get up to 10 minutes a day. If I can do this then, you can do this now. I have faith in you.

This is a wonderful article, Sister Kaite! I am a strong advocate for exercise, eating healthy, nutritious foods, and drinking lots of water to keep yourself hydrated has helped me tremendously. I feel better now than I did as a teenager. Thanks for sharing this, I enjoy reading your articles.
