Moving On After A Divorce – Let Go And Forgive

Moving on after a divorce is both complex and emotionally painful. If your marriage lasted for any length of time, it becomes even more difficult when your entire life is turned on its ear. Not only are you now single, but you also have to make major decisions in a short amount of time. Where are you going to live? Who is going to pay for what? These decisions only add to the stress of ending the marriage with many people suffering from depression and other negative feelings.

Since most divorces are emotionally charged, very often the couple ends up fighting and saying hurtful things to each other. This just compounds the problem with the end result being more fighting and arguments over trivial things become escalated. This leads to a complete breakdown in communication while lawyers sit in the middle. This lack of communication causes bad feelings to run deep where the couple can’t see beyond their own pain. Harboring these angry feelings will only prevent you from truly moving on after a divorce.

When things become heated, you need to ask yourself is the issue at hand really that important? You need to make an honest assessment of the situation. Are you holding your ground out of spite or anger? Often it only takes one of the two to give a little where the other responds in kind. If a divorce is handled with venom and loathing, those feelings won’t go away over night. They’ll be part of who you are for the year or so following the divorce and will prevent you from enjoying your life post divorce.

Even if your divorce was amicable, you still might find yourself not knowing what to do next. If your marriage was an integral part of how you defined yourself, you may be wondering who you really are without it. This should be looked at in a positive light. You can start focusing on yourself and what you want from life. The real you may be waiting to come out and those things you’ve always wanted to try or experience can now be pursued.

Whether you and your spouse split amicably or not, let go of any negative thoughts or feelings you have about the end of the marriage. This negativity undermines your emotional well-being and confidence and can prevent you from achieving positive things in your life. Moving on after a divorce should be looked at with excitement and a sense of a new beginning.

"I was a little bit skeptical in the beginning and the reason is we've tried different marriage counselors already and spell caster and I've already read numerous other books on the subject. There wasn't anything I could seem to do. However after using Dr. Stanley spell and following the instruction he gave me, I have been seeing significant results with my marriage situation. And I'm a whole lot happier in my self. My friends and family are very glad to see that I'm back to my husband again! All thanks to drstanleyspelltemple@hotmail. com." --Walsh, Seattle
