4 Ways to Make Sure Your Dog Is Happy And Healthy

Provide these 4 loving ways and your dog will not only be happy and healthy but also the bark of the town.

Taking care of a four legged family member is just as much responsibility as taken care of a child.

As a matter of fact, they become a child to you because you have to consider what's needed to keep them healthy and happy.

This will include healthy meals, diets, exercise, and regular visit to Vets and groomers.

Consider these 4 ways as the basics of reaching that goal:

1. Providing a good Diet

Check out many brands that's available as healthy dog food. Asking your Vet would also be a good start to avoiding the ones that are not good for your dog.

Also finding one that is no only healthy but good tasting for them. If they won't eat it, what difference will it make what the label says on the bag.

Create a schedule of feeding times so your dog will get use to it. Also do not overfeed them. Overweight dogs are a big problem here and that alone could take years off your life and his time with you.

I heard that Jenny Craig is considering a line for dogs.

Don't laugh, it could happen. Just make sure not to feed him pizza and fried chicken.

Also try to do some research on foods that will help your dog fight future diseases and illnesses.

2. Make sure they get plenty of Exercise

Walking your dog is not only for them to relive themselves, it will provide daily exercise for them at the same time.

It allows them to venture and be creative with their mind with all that is going around them. It also allows them to blow of some steam from being bored in the house all day.

Getting a break from TV sitcoms and Xbox could be good for everyone, hint hint.

Please use a lease every time you want to walk them because it seems to be their natural instinct to bolt when they have a chance.

Give them a little extra time to sniff around, get familiar with near by fire hydrants and mailboxes and other interesting items.

Word of caution: don't let them get to familiar with your neighbors stuff, I already made that mistake.

3. Provide regular Grooming

Different dog breeds need different kinds of grooming. Some needs more brushing and bathing then others.

Dogs with longer hair will need more attention because if their hair gets tangled and matted, that could lead to many other problems. Not to include it costing more when you do finally take them to a professional.

Ask a Groomer or Vet about different products you could use to help fight against your dog getting skin disease.

If you notice some dogs coats that are really shiny and neat looking, just know they have a owner who cares about that.

This will also cut down on shedding and having your dogs hair everywhere. Just a few minutes a day of regular brushing will help your dogs appearance and health as well as your wallet in the long run.

Do some research or ask your Vet about what products to use that will help fight against fleas and ticks and keep them under control.

Your dog hates these critters just as much if not more then you do.

4. Have your regular Veterinarian on board

Your Vet will advise you on many ways to keep your dog healthy.

To start, he will provide regular examinations, shots medicines. He will help your dog fight against heart worms and other diseases that could harm them in the long run.

A professional and caring Vets main mission is to help you and your dog enjoy many years of a loving relationship together.

Your dog can do many things for themselves just not the really important task that only you can take care of for him.

Following these 4 committed services to your dog that will pay you back ten fold with many years of a loving relationship from a loyal canine companion.

Good informative article. Our dogs are spoiled, I can't imagine how it happened. Good point, if they won't eat it it doesn't matter how good it is for them.
