Does your pet have dog illness symptoms? Well, there are some common symptoms like; changes in behavior, poor appetite and the more noticeable ones vomiting and diarrhea. The more important question here is what are we doing to contribute to our dog illness symptoms?
One influence that we rarely consider is that our domesticated pets once lived in the wild and their diet was quite different than what we now feed them. Certainly the food that dogs were used to eating in the wild may not have been the healthiest diet but is what we have replaced it with really any better?
Do you know what is in your pet's food? If you want to find out you would read the package ingredients of course, but did you know the first food listed represents the food that makes up the biggest portion of the product. For example, when the package lists ground yellow corn first and then chicken by products, you can bet there is more ground yellow corn than anything else in the pet food. So, just because the picture on the package shows a healthy, energetic dog; eating real beef, it doesn't necessarily mean that your pets are getting what's good for them.
Many pet owners have taken to making their own pet food and have discovered it is not as difficult or costly as they thought.. You may want to consider this if your pet is showing dog illness symptoms. Natural diets are the most important thing we can give our pets. It will improve diabetes, arthritis, chronic vomiting and diarrhea.
The best foods to feed your pet will contain Vitamin E and Vitamin C.
Things to avoid are: BHA, BHT, Propylene glycol, artificial colors and flavor additives.
If you are purchasing dog food always check to see if essential fatty acids have been added. These are important to prevent cancer, allergies and arthritis.
There are some excellent dog foods on the market but it is very important to read labels and know exactly what you are feeding your pet. Try this easy to make, affordable treat for your pet.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read all of these articles Shawn. I am glad you found some helpful info here.
Thanks for reading and I am glad you are enjoying. I have fed my dogs egg shells for years. I must admit that I was a bit hesitant in the beginning but as long as they are mixed in and well distributed they love it! I would be cautious starting out with this recipe and add it gradually as it can cause stomach upset if your pet isn't used to this type of food. Over time there are many benefits to this type of diet but if you were considering this as a steady diet you would need to do a bit more research and add vitamins.
Really liked your article. Just another great way of feeding your dog. Thanks.
We use a similar recipe and include dog vitamins into the recipe. We don't feed any regular dog food in their diet. We have seen a great improvement in the energy and well being of our three 'children'! THanks for a great article, Jackelyn
I have in fact heard of the great success which people have when feeding their pets a more complex form of this recipe, (including vitamins as you said.). Although I have not transitioned my pets to this diet, there's no denying the benefits for our pets. Thanks for taking the time to read and comment.
