Most dog owners will find that their puppy will chew on everything but the chew toy that the owner gets for them to chew. Crazy i know but it happens all the time.
Here's some suggestions to ease your struggle:
1) Put away everything out of reach like the family jewels
2) Leave some chew toys out for them and keep them in plain view
3) Use gates to block off the out of bounds rooms and areas
4) Walk then often to build a routine for confidence and exercise
5) Spray items with bitter apple as a deterrent
6) Lastly, subscribe to animal planet and leave the TV on that station during the day, just make sure you check your listing to make sure their will not be a cat marathon on, will not be pretty.
