Chihuahua x Jack Russell Scare.
One of my Chihuahuas (Jasmine) will not stop babying the last Teddy bear I own from my childhood. It has become an odd fantasy of hers to have a baby Teddy. I was told she is having a fake pregnancy.
She is the most social dog on the planet when it comes to meeting other dogs at the beach or people. Meeting other dogs anywhere else, she snaps at most (especially male dogs). I once seen her stir another dog and it bit her eye with blood flowing everywhere. I was in a panic thinking she would now only have one eye! Luckily it was nothing! I don’t understand how she acts as though she wants puppies but cannot bring herself to mating with another dog. I have found her trying to mate with my other Chihuahua Tiny (but she is the same sex). I know animals can be funny at times but this is just weird!
Jasmine is a Chihuahua cross Jack Russell. She is very friendly with other dogs but even friendlier with people. Jasmine protects our older and smaller Chihuahua (Tiny), my Mother and I with her life. She is adorable, loyal, gets fed and treated like a queen. My little princess. Some may say and are most definitely right, she is spoilt!
Chihuahuas are intelligent dogs. They may seem like a small yapping rat, but inside have a personality to match a person. Love and loyalty is what they serve, if grown up with the right nature.
Chihuahua crossed with Jack Russell on the other hand I have found to have a few differences. I know only of seeing friends Jacks Russell's their personality but cannot say anything as I believe dogs each have a different personality as humans do (I may be crazy but I do believe it!). Jasmine appears to be more aggressive towards larger dogs and more adventurous at such young age. More protective towards my mother I and more fearless. She is quite the character to know!
My Father bought her as a puppy from a friend who was moving and didn't want her any more I was living with my Dad at the time and it was a first for a long time. Jasmine only brought our relationship closer as we had spent years apart. She was the light we both needed to see each other. Dad would find her crawled up behind his bottom every night. Gross I know but hey, I toss and turn at night so I'm glad I didn't squash her! My dad is about three times my size! (I don’t wake up to anything).
I moved out of my Dads house returning to my Mother on a farm where jasmine ran free. She could chase sheep, run for miles, and discover all new types of land and animals within. She had taken a boat ride to get there and did extremely well. She is a strong dog who will attempt anything
Jasmine has moved with me numerous times and each time she has been fine. This new obsession she has accumulated with my Teddy bears from my childhood has left me with one! She finds them and mothers them and cries if I take it away! I don’t want to take it away but I feel it may be abnormal.
I take inspiration from my own DOG! She will attempt anything, loves to meet new people, taking caution of some dogs, protecting her loved ones and being adventurous! She has a personality to help me. I always felt like she was an angel and she has done nothing but bring happiness and love to my life.
Jasmine bruiting on the other hand has me confused of how to fix it. I have researched it but found nothing on what to do. I suppose I will leave her to baby my remaining Teddy but hope somehow she will soon have puppies to change her behaviour. She recently tried to bite my mother and I through her during her bruiting process leaving us in shock of how protective she can be over something non-living.
