My Pugs Not Drugs Story

Did you ever hear of the saying, "Pugs Not Drugs?" I didn't either until just a few months ago. I think I was searching the web for information on pugs and came across this. It's a pretty catchy phrase, isn't it? The reason I was researching pugs on the web is because I'm interesting in getting one in the future. I work a full-time job and my husband promised we can get one as soon as one of us can stay home from work during the day. I'm working hard on establishing an online business of my own so I can stay home and believe it or not, this article is part of it!!

Pugs are so cute, loving, and loyal pets. I have wanted a dog for a long time but my husband swears he's allergic to all dogs but the pug. So, my heart's settled on this adorable little dog. I've been sort of obsessing over it lately, like thinking of names and which room he will sleep in or with!! I'm also considering making Buddy (the name we chose) as my business partner. He can hang with me while I work at the computer and we can take breaks together or if I need to go somewhere, he can come along for the car ride.

I've heard that pugs are good guard dogs, but to not plan on him attacking the intruder. I've also heard that they are very intelligent plus a little stubborn, making them a little difficult to train at first. I'm so glad that they are good with kids, since I have two older kids who will love having him as part of our family. I get so excited thinking about it especially when I can envision him in my life. I've heard good things about crate training so this may be the path I take. First, I need to learn as much as I can about it and how to do it right.

In my research, I have learned that because of its flat face and small nose, pugs tend to make lots of noises like snorting. And when they sleep, they tend to snore and pass a lot of gas. They are also very sensitive to the heat so it's important not to keep them outdoors on a hot day for long periods of time. Besides, they are mainly an indoor dog and although they love to play, they also love to take long naps on the couch.

Anyhow, getting back to that catchy phrase that started it all, "Pugs Not Drugs." I'm sure if you love pugs as much as I do, or you're a pug owner, you get the meaning. Imagine this on a t-shirt with a really cute picture of a pug... very cute and stylish. I've even seen some really cute pug clothing advertising this adorable saying, too. I hope it soon catches on and people will understand the meaning. Thanks for reading and let's hope my next article will be about my new pug. Oh, I just can't wait!!
