Best Websites For Selling Domain Names

Do you own a domain or a set of domain names that you are interested selling? You may not know that there are several websites that cater to buying and selling domain names. Each of them are different and have their advantages and disadvantages. Below is a list of some of the best websites for selling your domains:

Sedo is the world's largest domain marketplace online. Not only can you sell your domains at Sedo, but they also offer domain parking, an escrow service, a brokerage, and an auction platform. Sedo has brokered some of the largest domain sales in history. Fortunately you do not need to own million dollar domain names to sell your domains at Sedo. In fact, you can sell domains for as low as $60. If you do decide to sell your domains on Sedo, it is a good idea to use their parking service. That way if you sell a domain, they will not charge you as much of a commission on the sale.

Bargain Domains is a smaller, domain only auction house. They also offer an escrow service to handle the domain sales safely for both parties involved. Although there are some sales that are over $1000, most of the sales are in the $40 to $50 range. The only problem with selling domain names at Bargain Domains is that your domain names don't get as much exposure as they do at larger platforms like Sedo. Therefore, at times the final sales price will not be as high.

Another place you can sell domain names is Ebay. Many domain investors do not like selling domain names here because they feel there are so many poor domains on sale that they will get lost in the mix. However, it does have its advantages. There are a lot of potential buyers because so many people are familiar with Ebay. Also, many people sell hand registered domains here for 3 to 4 times what they paid. It is not a huge profit, but a very solid return on investment.

Domain name forums are another good spot for selling domain names. These forums are an excellent spot to liquidate your domain names that you have no use for or would like to receive some quick cash. Most of the sales that take place at domain forums are for relatively small amounts. However, there are some larger sales that do take place.

As you can see there are several good websites for selling domain names. For best results, it's a good idea to list your domain names at multiple sites so that more people see that they are on sale and you can sell your domains for the highest price.
