▸ Acoustic neuroma is a type of tumor that occurs in the ear and it often causes hearing loss. Symptoms include not only hearing loss but a feeling of fullness in the ear where the neuroma is growing.

▸ Otosclerosis is a disease of the middle ear that affects the movements of the small bones of the middle ear. This conductive type of hearing loss can often be corrected with surgery.
